Week 12 in the NFL continues on Sunday with a dozen games on the schedule after a fairly uneventful Thanksgiving trio of games. I hope you followed my Turkey Day Three Team Teaser on askthebookie.com, because if you did it made Thanksgiving all that much more special. On my 7-point teaser I took Vikings +4, Chargers +5 and the Redskins at PK. BOOM!

Even though the three winners all covered the spread, I went with a teaser because I had a hard time handicapping the Chargers/Cowboys game. It seemed every rock I turned over was contradicting the last one. I really didn?t think the Cowboys are as bad as they played. They have been downright terrible. But because of my insecurity of which side to take, buying the 7-points made me feel a lot more comfortable as I sat down to eat myself into a coma with my family. But enough of that, let?s get to what we came for and see where value can be found on Sunday.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (-16.5) - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
I talked earlier in the week about the large amount of double-digit spreads in Week 12. We have five games with a spread of at least 10, with three currently at 14-points or more. The first game I want to talk about is at Gillette Stadium where we have already seen the Patriots a massive favorite three times this year.
Opening night saw New England close as a 10-point favorite against the Chiefs, a 15-point favorite in Week 3 against the Texans and in Week 4 they were a 10-point favorite over the Panthers.

Look at what happened in those three games, they lost two straight up (KC and Carolina) and needed some late heroics from Tom Terrific to pull out a 3-point win over the Texans. But the Dolphins are terrible you say, and will be without QB Jay Cutler due to a concussion. Tell me this, is not having Cutler under center really that bad of a thing?
Yes, the Dolphins have lost four in a row, and Bill Belichick and Matt Patricia look to finally have the defense moving in the right direction, but this is a divisional matchup and the Dolphins usually come to play in Foxborough. The three score spread may be the play.
Carolina Panthers (-5.5) at New York Jets - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
Sure the Jets have surprised a lot of people with their play and sit at 4-6, but the Panthers have won three in a row, and seem to get better as Cam Newton?s shoulder does. Not only that, but Carolina gets possibly their #1 weapon back this week after tight end Greg Olsen was activated from the Reserve/Injured List on Friday. Most players show some rust off such a long time sitting, but I expect Olsen to be a top option for Newton.
With a game next week against the Saints, the Panthers will be highly motivated coming out of their bye, and will show us all just how much better they are than the Jets. I think the 5.5 on the Panthers side may be the value of the day.
