Hey Nole,

St Francis 1959, when did ya leave, before the 66 twister?

I'm a little fuzzy on this one loungelizard w/o calling my Mom. I do remember the Capitol having that green patch on it where the twister did damage. I sure don't remember a twister in 1966. I would have been 4. My understanding was the twister hit before 1962 you obviously no better than I.

I lived near Washburn U about 2 blocks from their golf course. I was an awful kid. I would take buckets of water and pour it down the ground squirrel holes and wait for them to come out the other side. Catch them, take them home, dry them by the heater and take them back and let them go. Man, I was board I guess. :)

I went to A.J. Stout as a kid(pretty sure that was the name of the school). Mrs. Kirk was my 1st and 2nd grade teacher.

Can you answer me this question? Did Davy Lopes play at Washburn? I swear he played ball there.

Small world. Talk to you soon.

That's funny you say that. For some reason, even though I'm 25 now, I distinctly remember being in first grade and telling my teacher that I was unexpectedly born early in Ireland when my parents were on vacation so I could go first in the lunch line on St. Patrick's Day! The little things we remember down the road....
