heres where i went....great place

I stayed there last year and it was incredible. Very priviate, No TV, PHONE, etc. Everything is taken care of by the staff. Thatched roof huts are the "rooms". Very high class....many movie stars go there because of its privacy....

Just returned from Maui last week and the Hyatt is a nice place to stay and there are more activities, but it boils down to" just another hotel".

c20916, please check on the Marriott Maui. The place is unbelievable, I've got a couple of high-rollers that go there every year and redeem points like you. They always call me from the pool just to rub it in. You won't be disappointed.

I'll check some other Marriotts but highly recommend the Maui resort.

Go Terps, I'll see what I can find. I book with Apple quite a bit. Unfortunately, I don't get a lot of St. Maarten.

If casinos are your speed, you gotta lean to Aruba.

St. Maarten is an incredible island. I've only been there on cruise visits but my wife and I have enjoyed it every time. Great shopping!

You have to check tripadvisor.com. Getting many opinions can really aide you in your decision.

Thanks for asking.

The wife and I went to El Dorado about a year ago and I would recommend against it. I understand they have done an update to the property since we were there but we were less than impressed.
I think you may be refering to El Dorado and not El Dorado ROYALE. Same owners, different locations and the ROYALE property is much nicer.

Nole,

Thx for the advice, but is it the Marriot Maui Ocean Club or the Wailea Marriot Resort?

c20916, I just spoke with my client and it was the Marriott Maui but they are switching to all timeshares so it won't be available to the public for individual bookings. That sucks because it's a fine resort........................... I just called Marriott. The Ocean Club is the old Marriott Maui so that explains things. Here's their web-site....

If you have pop-up blocker, hold the control key down.

I'm showing the Wailea Marriott as a deluxe property. It looks okay but I would be sure to upgrade to an oceanfront room at a minimum. I have no feedback from clients on this resort.

Kauai Marriott also rates a deluxe resort. Has a helluva pool. 26,000 square feet! Takes a little longer to fly in there but it might be worth a look. No feedback from that resort either.

Not much help but at least the Marriott Maui question is answered.

Nole, just to make sure I have it straight, the Marriott Maui is now the Marriott Ocean Club and that is now a timeshare so it's not available to the public, correct?

Any other Marriott places on any of the other islands that you know of that are decent?

That's my understanding concerning question #1. You may want to call Marriott to confirm that.

The only other Marriott's are the resorts I mentioned earlier. The Wailea is on Maui. Unless you really need to go to Oahu(Pearl Harbor, the Arizona, etc.), I would stay clear. Too crowded and the city has it's bad spots. There is a Marriott there though.

I'll e-mail Jack again. I wrote a lenghty e-mail to him this AM and added a "P.S." He apparently didn't see it.
