Pro Sports or Minor League.........

What we have here in Maine is AA Baseball & AHL Hockey but both put on great shows and very reasonable on the wallet.....Great seats, exceptional food & beverage, fan interaction plus players that go all out all the time!

Minor League gate any day for me.........:0008

This is a good question.

When Phoenix got the Diamondbacks, they lost their Triple A team which had been there for many years.

We much preferred going to Triple A for all the reasons you mentioned. They had great, fun promotions, ran through many good players and it was a very enjoyable, easy night out. (they were the Giants affiliate)

The Diamondbacks play in a giant factory like building that is there to sell stuff rather than have the experience of enjoying the game in a great environment. Really, there is no comparison at all.

I hear a lot of people say this and believe it to be true, but I just can't get into minor league sports at all. I've tried, I went to three Pirate games this year here in Pittsburgh. It's just not the same as having a professional team.

I think part of it for us is Boston is the closest Pro venue at 4 hours away......Even for us to get to a minor league game it's 2 hours.....High School Sports are KING in our area....:0008

Pirates are doing well this year and fans are excited and showing up, do you enjoy going to their games in down years? Seems to me it really doesn't matter with minor league games up here the excitement and draw is the same no matter how the team is doing......

Sports... Baseball has always been my favorite sport, since I retired (still work part-time ) my wife & I have started to go to some minor league games of Detroit's affiliates A to AAA ball. As you mentioned great seats , food is reasonably priced & watching these young guys trying to make it to the " show "

Minor leagues live and pro in a good sports bar seems a good way to go.
