I loved the old arcarde games.

Ms PacMan
Donkey Kong
DK Jr.
Defender
Stargate
Q*Bert (Played for 31.5 hours on one quarter, to set world record in 1983.......it was broken the next weekend)
Tempest
Zookeeper
Dig Dug
Qix

I played them all, but those were my favorites.

contra all weapon code.

i'm a loser but you already knew that

qbert was very underated. good game. not sure about 31.5 hours though. in my prime maybe 3 hours. but didn't your ears fall off. the sounds he made when jumping from tile to tile for 30 hours must have drove you nuts.

If we throw in arcade games as well, someone should nominate tron. that game was great

The 65th Square
Galaga was the best. I wasted many an hour on that game (I'm 35 years old). Yes, the screen does flip when you get over a certain amount of points ... a million I think. I've done it before. I got to stage 250 plus. No lie. (I had no life)

Also, I got a book on pac-man patterns back in the 80's. I learned all the patterns and could basically play forever.

The 65th Square
Speaking of pac-man

Did you know there was a place on every level where if you put your pac-man guy there at the very start of the stage, the monsters would not go in that area?

You could go to the bathroom or even eat lunch for 20 minutes!

No lie!!!

Lucena.....any specifics about where on the pac man screens were the places you could just hide?

Did it work if you gobbled some dots and had the uglies chasing you?

I thought it was pretty cool when every once in a while you got trapped and just happened to run through one of the bad guys without getting killed.

Sort of like getting shot through the gap in your characters neck in the game "Berzerk".....and you're still alive afterwards.....
