I agree with DR Freeze on this one. If I had a daughter or son of a young age who viewed this on TV, I wouldn't be one happy camper!

Role models? Geez, where are the ethics and morals of the good old days?

Pepsi Cola generation I tell you...

because we have impressionable kids in our country watching this stuff...thats why....

and young women go through all kinds of problems when they become promiscuous....while young men do not need any extra incentive to think with their wrong head....

quickies and one night stands start behavioral patterns which are hard to break...and eventually have culminated in the poor family atmosphere we have in our country...and this leads to more and more problems...

need to protect the family and family values and morals...because we have not, we are suffering the consequences....we have a lot more dysfunctional people emotionally and mentally....and its a big burden for all of us to bear right now

Dr. Freeze,

If we never agree on anything else, thats OK because you are completely correct here and being in the minority on this one doesn't make you wrong!

Kickserv, can I assume you don't have any kids, especially not a daughter?

Don't know if I'd want to raise a kid this day and time.
Maybe I am too conservative,I don't know. I agree that this is tv but-- however the messages to our youth that bother me the most is litigation from the liberals adverse effects on youths

Issues just in past 60 days

Boy scouts can't use state facilties because they are religious org
No prayer
No pledge of allegiance
but is ok for kids to say fuk in school. (Lawsuit just instigated in Colorado.)

you guys are completely missing the reason behind why they did this. Guess you dont watch much MTV these days.

There has been a longstanding feud built up mostly by the media that Britiny , Madonna, and Christy all hate each other and alot has been written about big fights.

This was a attempt to squash that.

Guess it didnt as everyone went for the moral reasons behind two woman kissing.

Hope that helps

i never said i was "antigay" anywhere...i am for them getting help...

you show your ignorance by mocking family values and morals...if you do not think that young minds are influenced by what they see and that this influence does lead to behavioral patterns you are in the dark ages....

80% of A.A. kids are raised by a single parent....do you realize how much harder this is to do than in a two parent home? add to that, the resentment that these kids have for their fathers because of their activity? do you know how hard it is for these kids to grow up functional????? do you have no heart at all??? is the simple aspect of getting off seeing this more important than lives that could be spared because of conduct disorder, STD's, homicide/suicide and marital troubles?

You guys, jeezuz christ, it was a freaking KISS!

Why are you guys not this upset about tv shows like "Queer eye for the straight guy?"
or 5 gays and a straight guy or whatever it is?

Why dont you cry this much when they have 2 gays kiss on the Real World on MTV?

No, only when it is the popular issue does it arise.

And as for being shocked if you had kids watching this...
If you have a kid watching MTv by themselves at that young and impressionable age, SHAME ON YOU as a parent!

Ease off the nazi party people. fvck!
It was a kiss, the mainstream media/TV stations do a LOT MORE than just one lil kiss between same sex people on some of their shows.

i am talking about it as a broad spectrum....and the state of our parents is as bad as the state of the kids in most cases...

lots of kids don't even have a chance....their role models are the thugs that rap - speaking of all kinds of things being done to women, police, etc. etc.; singers who model porn stars; and on the list goes....and if they aren't your kids, they are your kids' peers...

and as a result, you can see what is happening to the family unit and dysfunctional people in our country....

but hey we would rather see something on the mainstream instead of paying 20$ to go to the local whack shack and buy it

don't mind the implications

HOLY COW....never thought i'd see the day that freezie and i would EVER agree on anything....*L*

and....what we're seeing isn't only prevalent in the US....but, rather....a north american affliction....

the sad reality is....most people tend to be easily influenced....add the fact that these are kids that are trying so desperately to be cool and accepted by their peers....with the type of role models they choose to emulate....YIKES....what a recipe for disaster!!!

Marine, like I said I would be the first one standing in line to buy a ticket if the participants of The Kiss want to get it on. What pisses me off is how the VMA has become a celebration of everything that is wrong with music these days. Talented kids are being ripped off while these wanna be thugs and faries are being honored. Honored for what? If you think that's music I feel sorry for you.

I would be happy if they would just gossip, snoop, bitch, whine, complain, ass-kiss, gold-dig and MODERATE at the overpriced, watered-down coffee joints instead of the online sports gambling forums.

And hey, I would be happy if the "big one" hit the san andrea's fault line out there and wiped california and all their silly lil problems right off the map, but that aint gonna happen either.

;)

At least it is in the General Discussion and not the sports areas.

And I am happy not reading threads that don't interest me. Talk about bitching and moaning. What a cry baby. Maybe you can give us a list of acceptable subjects.
