Loaiza has had some struggles with the long ball and while IE showed in a thread that his fastball has been clocked 5 mph slower than last year, but it looks to me it has to with a flatness of the fastball also. He's certainly not in the same form as he was early last year and with their pen usage yesterday, there isn't a lot of help coming out of the bullpen today.

Gonzalez was Tampa's best starter last year, but also has been roughed up early on. The White Sox didn't see him last year and he's a righty. He was tough against right-handed batters last year and the only White Sox who may be happy to see him are Valentine and Harris.

Thought the line would be a bit higher based on Gonzalez's early performance but it's still too high. Gonna wait until gametime to play this one as the line keeps getting higher.

Gonzalez + 1 unit

Loiaza obviously wasn't joking when he said he couldn't get a grip on the ball last time out...and pitching coach Cooper wasn't kidding when he said something was wrong with Loaiza's arm slot. Both were fixed...and this is what you get...:D
