Garland and the Sox both had the seasons that they did last year because they rose up to play the shit teams and they will be facing KC's third starter who they've pounded as a starter and in the pen.

Bobby, I am making my first of many trips to "The K" tomorrow... Should be an interesting game. I went to 14 Royals games last year, and they were 2-12, with one of the wins coming against my beloved Twins.

I actually like the Royals a little in this spot as a value play, because Affeldt has nasty stuff when he is on (that is the key... haven't seen him in the role of starter for awhile... he is reportedly healthy now as well).

Will be staying away myself, but good luck on the play, sir!

Looked like it was a good day to make it to the ballpark. Affeldt used to look so good (2002 or 2003) but he didn't want to go near the plate except with 2-0 fastballs. I turned it off in the third and came back in the seventh. Handicapping can be so much fun
