Usually the teams searching for answers when they are about to get swept by the Twins, but now it's the Tigers. The Sox will start on a 12-game road trip tomorrow and winning the series with the Tigers was key.

Wright has pitched well against the Tigers over his short career with an ERA under 3.7 and 4 wins against 1 loss. Present day Tigers are hitting well below .200 against him in that stretch. The Tigers shouldn't get to him nor a well-rested pen.

But with the hitting of the Sox, lately, is that enough.

Maybe it's because I'm a fan, maybe it's because I'm square, but I think that the Sox bats "come alive" today and that the value lies in the run line.

Manuel should of been out of there last nite as the offense had only 3 hits last nite. They get beat again last nite by the freakin Tigers of all teams.. Firing the hitting coach hasnt done a damn thing to this team and Manuel is now a sitting duck its just a matter of time.

Isnt he one of the coaches for the All-Star game in Chicago?

to low blow Greg Walker (New batting coach) Is ludicris. They guy has not even been there a week give the guy a month or two. He will turn the hitting around. First thing he needs to do is have frank go out and buy himself a pair of hitting chains for his stride. So when a pitcher throws that outside breaking ball 50 feet off the plate frank wont go fishing for it.

Don't think anybody was low blowing Walker. I think the point was if you're going to fire anybody make it permanent and get the guy at the top.

Keep the faith. Buerhle and the bats get going and they'll catch Minnesota by the end of June.

No question they are still in the hunt for the Central with minny being out west. In all reality this was a 3 game set they should of swept........ Jerry needs to go period end of story. As many of you have noticed over the years when a new hitting coach comes in the bats wake up after a few weeks. I think it holds true in this case also....
