White Sox are in the midst of a 5-game losing streak and the Twins are starting to pull away in an AL Central that most of these White Sox players think is theirs already. Ritchie comes back to hill after a brutal outing against Detroit and has been in a decline ever since a May 4th game in Oakland. I would be surprised to see him in the game after 5 innings. While the Sox were shut out tonight, they scattered 8 hits last night so its not like the bats are going cold. After the game last night, the Sox had a closed door meeting and Manuel questioned their intensity. I know these types of meetings aren't always successful, but you would expect the Sox to be more focused tonight.

Imagine that final score if some of those warning track fly balls Ritchie had given up had about 2-5 more feet on them. It started to get humid there recently, and the scoring went up right away. The humidity was fairly low yesterday there and I wonder if that kept some of those long flys in the park. Its kind of in between right now (52%). Should it get up to 70% or so by gametime, look for some Thome souvenirs in the bleachers.

I was patting myself on the back yesterday for calling the inning that Ritchie would get shelled and you've got to make fun of my "team meeting" angle. I get fooled constantly trying to predict motivation in this sport.

Hope you get your overs today, IE. Good Luck

I have seen alot of team meetings over the years between the Cubs and Sox result in less than stellar results the next time back. I just think that the Sox should be such a good regular season team. Sometimes what I want to happen isn't always whats going to happen. But I guess that since I didn't want my money on Ritchie yesterday, I doubted Manuel's motivational talent subconsciously.
