Garland comes off of one of the worst starts of his career, but he's been consistently inconsistent throughout his career and good games following bad games is pretty regular. I do think he's turned a corner this year, but even if he hasn't, a good outing today is his MO.
Also coming off one of his worst outings is Burnett
"While his velocity was as high as 97 mph, he had trouble getting his breaking ball over. Burnett tossed 86 pitches with 52 strikes.
"You expect it," Marlins manager Jack McKeon said of Burnett having difficulties succeeding after his long layoff. "It's going to take a few turns. Stuff-wise, he's fine. ... The velocity is there. It's just the command.
