Munoz get the start in the revolving door that is the White Sox fifth starter spot. The bullpen's down to 10 guys, have been worked much heavier this week than normal and Munoz is coming from Double A to a spot that no one in the entire organization has been effective at over the last two years. But I still can't back the Expos at this price.

Probably not the sharpest play, but . . .

Munoz -112 1 unit

For those interested:

Munoz has the best curveball possibly in the organization. There was an article on the White Sox website saying he is comfortable throwing it at any point in the count. It is supposed to be Barry Zito-esque.

FYI-Munoz is following the regular pattern for pitchers, rather than the "pitch 2 or three innings to keep your arm fresh" the Sox have used on previous 5th starters (who have gotten bombed...Rauch and Diaz). This is his normal day to pitch.

Rauch and Diaz started against 2 offenses nobody would like to face...the Rangers and the Orioles. Munoz gets the Expos at Montreal...which means the Sox could give him some run support early.

Like the play Bobby...I am not much of a homer, though ;)

Can't say much because I was "resting my eyes" during the second inning, but the curveball didn't look like much, no bite, just a big swirl. Knew I probably had the wrong side, but couldn't pull the trigger on the Expos at that price.
