I was thinking about taking the day off due to not having any idea where this team is headed right now. I?m fairly certain that the White Sox aren?t going to be hitting the ball well any time soon. It?s the slump, the West Coast funk, the ?can?t hit righties? mentality that all turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy when you think about your problems long enough. The Sox were well on their way to another lack luster offensive performance until the Diamondbacks were nice enough to throw in some lefties into the game that the Sox clobbered.
Danny Wright has an ERA over 6, but a lot of it can be excused due to the situations that he was put in. The Cleveland game last week was just plain crap as the umpire wanted to prove that he was more important than the game and Wright was visibly shaken. He?s a solid pitcher historically and does not look to have any ill-effects from his injury.
