Sox have acted like a big-market team in the past but it is usually reserved for the off-season and not in the middle of the year. 31,000+ fans showed up last night (17,000 walk-up) and this club has thrived when given support in the past.

Lohse?s record against the Sox has been good traditionally, but the Twins don?t have that same hex on the Sox that they?ve had in season?s past. So I?ll take the club that?s on a roll, with a pitcher who?s on a roll with the rested pen for almost no juice.

Go Sox!!!

Good Luck

A day after acquiring second baseman Roberto Alomar and outfielder Carl Everett, the Chicago White Sox have designated for assignment infielder D'Angelo Jimenez and outfielder Armando Rios.

Jimenez, 25, batted .255 with seven home runs and 26 RBI in 73 games, including 67 starts, this season. The White Sox acquired him from San Diego last July for two minor leaguers.

Rios, 31, hit .222 with two homers and 11 RBI in 42 games this season. He made 19 starts in center field, two in right and three as the designated hitter. Rios was signed as a free agent in January.

But the acquisitions of Alomar and Everett made both Jimenez and Rios expendable.

BBC,

Agree with you tonight. Played the WSOX.

What worries me is what I started seeing today. On many different sites the masses are jumping on the bandwagon. This is caused by the winning but much more by the breaking trade news. Everywhere I see people putting money on the WSOX to win the division and the whole ball of wax.

Usually this is the time to jump off the train. Hope it holds out tonight for both of us.
