I just had a contractor install 230ft of white vinyl fencing in my backyard with 2 gates.

He charged me $5100 to do it.

The PVC fence is gale force wind graded and is high quality - not Lowes or Home Depot stuff....

Just wondering if anybody thinks this is a decent price for 230 ft.

In the city I live in if you put up or replce an old fence on your property along any street you have to put up white vinyl fencing.

Weasel - you're killing me......

White vinyl requires the least maintenence of any fence and is somewhat more expensive however, it doesn't rust, needs no paint - ever and is the best for high winds.

I just hope I paid a decent price for it.

Hey - SixFive said you're coming to the Belterra Golf Outing!!!!!

I have the same fence going in tomorrow morning, although not white but clay color. Total for me 5900, and about 70 more feet. I guess that seems right. Oh well, it's only money.

crew just finished up mine today. did a total of about 100 feet with 2 gates. Attached to the neighbors. $2400. 5k sounds about right for your size. Love mine. Never have to do a thing to it.

I priced it out last year to do it. If I remember correctly, each of those panels were about $80-$120 each, plus you throw in the posts and other stuff and it averaged out to be about $125 per section (I believe they were 8 ft sections) .

I was going through Direct buy, so the cost was probably about 25% cheaperthan what it would take to go through lowes or HD.

That doesn't include rental equipment, or concrete or any of the extras... The biggest headache is digging the holes and setting the posts.

That fence looks great. A few years ago I had 250 feet of cedar installed. That cost around $3500 so I think what you paid for the vinyl fence was fair. Wished I would have spent a little more and did the vinyl. I have to stain my cedar fence about every 3 to 4 years where you won't have to do squat with the vinyl.

The guy installing the fence warned me about that. He said straight bleach can get almost all spray paints off of vinyl.

Nice i always wondered if that comes off easy. By the way i think those fences look cheeszy looking. Urs to me looks like the nicest one i have seen. I think it is because the fence panels seem to be thinner then most i have seen. The wide panel look just doesn't do it for me. One good thing is the kids never spray the inside of the fence so u don't have to look at it.

was checking around the net for ideas...something a little different to make the yard a little more unique.....

and using "riverbed rocks" to accent a downspout runoff running under a large dwarf alberta spruce(oxymoron alert)ooks very sharp indeed...particularly if you use black mulch...

my stones are a little more uniform looking than these and i used block paver borders to outline the curves exactly the way i wanted them...i have it running through a black mulch bed instead of the grass......a nice contrast...

a nice idea...easy to do...to give your landscaping a unique touch ...something a little different from everybody elses...

sort of like this but smaller and a little more precise without the real big rocks...
