My comment to you smurphy

Obama. I like his leadership abilities and inspirational qualities. I will admit that I'm not very familiar with presidential qualities because of the last 8 years. But best I can tell, Obama would be a strong and competent leader.

This "change" word that gets so easily dismissed actually might have some weight too. My sister who generally votes very conservative said that it might actually be good for the country to have Obama simply because he can inspire people. ...MacCain does not have that ability I'm afraid.

I guess it's kind of like changing the deck when your cards are running bad. Yeah, it's still the same odds, but sometimes you still need "change".

I have a sister, also. She lives in Va and she is very religious, she's always going to church and she prays alot. She is always praying for me,because she knows that I need it.Anyway she's always telling me that this is just a short period of time in the big plan, you know,GODS plan .
Bush is just an instrument of GOD.
My sister has two daughters and one was married to a Captain in the Marines and he was shot in the head by a sniper in Iraq. She holds no grudge or bad feelings for Bush, but I do.
Now let me comment on changing the deck, for I have hustled most of my life. When the dealer deals from the bottom, deals seconds, plays the peep, uses a mirror, uses shade, uses dabb and puts down paper which are all forms of cheating, then changing the deck just want do any good.
I read your post quite often and agree with most of what you say.
It's the biggest con game in history. Where's the money, who has the money.....You got it,....well I don't have it....Find the money and you'll know who fulked us.
I'll venture to say that the elite, the super rich didn't loose at the end of the day.

They sure don't. ...from either side. They get us to feel bad for them because they are paying most of the taxes. ...Well they have most of the money, so it kinda makes sense. When they are riding high they flaunt their good fortune, when their house of cards (more cards analogies) falls, they get the rest of us to send them billions so they can throw $400k parties.

Sorry to hear about your nephew in law.

'God's Plan' is frightening. Not because God has a plan but because people actually think they know what that plan is.

Probably Bob Barr, because I am a pretty consistant Libertarian voter.

I don't believe in a strategic or defeatest approach to voting. If you don't like McCain, don't vote for him just to keep Obama out and vica versa ... Similarly I feel it's a sad slipery-slope to not vote simply because your state is already 'decided'

Furthermore I do think that voting for a third party has value. Even if a Libertarian or Green, or a Ross Perot never wins a single state, the more votes they get, the more their views seep into the public and political consciousness.

Do I think all Libertarian ideals are perfect for 2008 America? Not really.

But, I don't hear either of the two major political parties talking about REAL freedoms, economic or social. They "touch on them", but in the end I don't trust them with my liberty.

What is truly sickening about this thread is the conservatives had what could have been the best candidate out there but to show their true colors, they let the media decide for them who to vote for. Ron Paul could have brought most of us together but nooooooooooo they had to listen to that jitbag Rudy and his bullshit tough talk. Paul didn't have to twist my arm to get my vote.

My vote will depend on following--

Will judge candidate on what he has done in past and not what he says he will do in furture.

Will look for one that will benefit me--
Protection-taxes/savings-smaller gov prime concerns

Investor friendly--my belief is corps produce jobs not visa versa--especially in current economic conditions--any bounce back will be dependent on corporate america

Will vote for pro free enterprise candidate and against any with socialistic leans.

Will look for commander in chief who will protect us--and once committed looks to victory vs ways to retreat.

Will vote for candidate with conservative values--

Filling out my ballot right now - there are 16 choices for President, sheeshe I didn't know there were so many, this is tougher than I thought.

If I wasn't in a swing state I think I would vote for Bradford Lyttle - who would have known we have a U.S. Pacifist party??

Just heard on the news that they are expecting a 90% voter turnout in Colorado.

of course you are. That is why you are an idiot. The douche who has lost no money in the market collapse and has no skin in the game has the sage advice, "Now is not the time to panic". Good advice if you have a 40k a year job as a bank clerc with no money in the market. Why would you panic? Sarah Palin makes George Bush look like an intellectual.
