I am biased towards Texas so my say is meaningless, but I will try to be unbiased in a quick breakdown:
Reason TT has no ground to stand on: Only team of the 3 that was not even competitive in their loss as OU thrashed them. So I say you just ignore their "Why not us" questions. You blew it by getting hammered on the big stage.

OU thrashed all comers(4 ranked at the time of playing them) except Texas. You can say OU was looking VERY STRONG in that game until two things changed it. 1 was the Shipley kickoff return as the game was ready to get out of Texas grasps and 2 was the loss of Ryan Reynolds(best OU defensive player). Texas exploited his absence in a BIG way. So argument for OU is the loss was due to a key injury which I don't really deny.

Texas beat 3 ranked teams at the time of playing them. Like OU, their excuse for losing is 2 parts, first it was on the road to a then ranked #6 team in the country. Second, they played the game without DE Orakpo(projected in the top 5 in NFL draft) and lost 1,000 yard receiver Quan Cosby very early in the game. Also, if I mentioned the game turning Shipley kickoff vs OU then we have to mention the bonehead Gideon that dropped a SIMPLE INT just before the Crabtree game winner.

All have their reasons and excuses, but how are we gonna decide it. Let coaches from other conferences pick the Big 12 South Champ with votes. That sees like the smart thing to do. Nice system Big 12.:142smilie

Good Luck to your team in who goes because at this point it is the only thing you have to get you there.:mj07:

It was 28-20 and us driving early 3rd when Reynolds got hurt. The injury doesnt explain OU offense getting shut down. Texas lost Orakpo during Tech game and Cosby playe done play. Injuries effect everyone.

Texas should go. I think OU will and it will be so close as to be sickening for all involved. Then OU gets sodomized yet again in a BCS game, Texas mails it in and loses the Fiesta so the clowns can say they got it right, and the only one loss team to lose its game at home will get crowned national champ.

OU never stopped Texas again and they exploited the middle was my point on that. Losing Orakpo and Cosby was a major blow in their loss. Injuries do happen. Just saying everyone has excuses.

Maybe OU offense was shutdown because Texas is better.Sounds good to me.

I think some coaches wise up as all we have heard this week is 45-35. If this was the ACC or SEC then this would not even matter. Nice job in possibly screwing Texas Big 12.

Sagarin is out and has OU No 1 and Texas No2 - even though his formula has Texas w the stronger SOS.

Now explain that one?
