Thanks Bobby and Eddie. King of dogs, I wasn't asking the question to try to 'kick ass'. I was genuinely interested as i've never really had a strong opinion on that case.

I had read about some of those points and a few I think are somewhat irrelevant. Overall though, especially given the reduced judgement, I don't think it was that unreasonable.

One thing is for sure though, I didn't read that they reduced the temperature of their coffee and I surely don't know that from experience because I quit ordering coffee there years ago because I would literally have to wait for around an hour with the top off before I could drink it. And even *then*, it was right on the border. The alternative was to pour half the coffee out and replace it with ice. Either way, you shouldn't have to wait or work for your coffee. It's not that complicated of a beverage.

Thanks Eddie, you are right once again. Entertainers like Rush and Murdochs other lap dogs are still whinning about that case. But the true story shows that something had to be done before more of us ended up burned. Who knows maybe their next victim would of been a right wingers kid. They don't really care who they burn. But with no real media watch dog to watch the two or three moguls controlling the media we will only get the spin they want us to hear.

Stevie you hit on a spot about Rush/Lush. When he is on wrong side of story. It either is not heard on his show anymore. Or he throws in little short snake bites then leaves it hanging. He always talks about truth in broadcasting. Really!
Eddie that part was estimated at 13 bucks. I would guess that was cost marked up 60%. That way the 13 bucks can make it sound like Ford whould go broke. Same thing going on with there Crown Vic police cars. They know the dam things explode. Been about 10 years worth of denial there to. Now after about 25 police men lost and 100's burned. There going to fix it.

Never heard of Lexisnexis, nor do I know Susan Estrich. I thought the article was pretty benign, and I have had some of the same thoughts one of which was that Hillary will never be president.

When I looked up this article for the first time tonight, she was writing about Jeb Bush and his "horrible" decision to appoint a guardian for a pregnant (raped) woman in a mental institution. Another article that was not that good.

The biggest radio news market is arguably NPR, right? Definitely liberal. The 3 big network evening anchors, Brokaw, Rather, and Jennings all lean to the left. Maybe that's what people mean when they say that mainstream media is slanted to the left. An average American who turns on the news (now and especially before all these cable networks) sees or hears liberal views.

I rarely listen to Rush because he gets on my nerves. Even though I really like talk radio, I'd rather listen to music or listen to sportstalk radio than Rush. I agree with many of his views, but his style just turns me off. Other conservative radio talk show hosts are much better imho.

Turner: Murdoch Is World's 'Most Dangerous Man'

Ted Turner may have lost most of his billions, but he has lost none of his venom.

Turner?s current troubles are profiled in a cover story for Fortune's May 26 edition, "Gone with the Wind.?

The magazine says Turner "reserves his vitriol, however, for his No. 1 rival": Rupert Murdoch.

According to Turner, "Rupert Murdoch is the most dangerous man in the world."

He?s also one of the most successful, as his Fox News Channel has decimated CNN, the network Turner founded.

Turner bristles at "the suggestion that Murdoch is smart."

"Yeah, well, people thought Hitler was pretty smart when he invaded Poland," Turner said.

Who?s at fault for Murdoch?s success?

Well, God, according to Turner.

"If there is a God, he is not doing a good job of protecting the earth," he says. "He's kind of checked out."

As for protecting the earth, Turner is busy with several ranches across the country on which he is trying to preserve several animal species and their unique ecosystems.

But concern for the enviroment has its limits for Uncle Ted.

Fortune reports that "this past spring there was a tussle over his decision to accelerate natural-gas drilling on his largest property, his 580,000-acre Vermejo Park ranch in New Mexico.?

"Beau Turner, who manages the properties' wildlife, vehemently opposed the drilling, but his father cut a deal with the rights holder, El Paso Corp., for an enhanced royalty.?

Turner?s son said he dislikes drilling, and he challenged his father: "Dad, if you weren't in these financial straits, would you be doing this??

"He told me no,? Beau recounted.

Turner told Fortune, "I wouldn't have done it if not for the decline of the stock."

Perhaps Uncle Ted will end his hypocrisy and come out in support of Alaska oil drilling, so that America can be less dependent on foreign oil and we can pay down the deficit.

Fat chance.

Concerning your question Eddie
"Instead of portraying yourself as someone from the middle, why don't you tell those reading this thread exactly which insurance company you work for? More propoganda from the right."

I don't mind at all,in fact those that have been around since Madjacks inception will confirm that till just in the past year my business website has always been in profile for public viewing.
It includes all data including address and phone#'s. You see we all don't hide behind keyboards. In answer to your questions on insurance companys we represent,it would be time consuming to go through them all as we are brokerage representing many.
While you portray the insurance company's as the bad boys I wish I could send you some of the numerous letters we have from people who came recovered from catastrophies finacially unscathed due to insurance.
In viewing website you might note in photo of my office in upper right hand corner a bearly decernable Cav-Patch in case. If you
could view up close you would also see it contains a silver star-3 bronze stars-2 air medals-purple heart- army accomendation medal plus service/defence and campaign awards. Would be happy to fax you copy of dd-214 for verification.
I am not sure who I portray, but that is who I am!and no propaganda.
-----any other questions ????

Maybe you will reciprocate and post your vitals here? No way in hell? Can't say I blame you. Hide behind that computer Eddie, you know, the one next to the police scanner.:p

I'll verify all of what Wayne just said; I've seen them all. Silver stars don't just grow on trees, Eddie. I hope he also clarified that this is his own business and he doesn't work for Prudential or State Farm or whoever it was you referred to/bashed in your post.

If your in good hands. That would be Allstate. A very good company. I believe Eddie mentioned Good Hands. Unless he meant DTB had good hands. That would help with DTB golf game.
That would also mean DTB had good reflexes with his hands and would drop little if any balls hit his way in a ballgame. It is agood thing to have good hands.

Sixfive, I doubt very much if NPR is the biggest radio market. Also other than a couple of tree huggers who are the liberal hosts that talk politics?
As for network news anchors being Liberal maybe they are but they do not pick the news or decide what to report. Seems to me they couldn't stop talking about Clintons Affairs or whatever. But they don't seem to bring up Bushes Military record or the fact that he was AWOL for a year of his service, but we keep hearing how Clinton avoided the draft by this "Liberal" media.
We are in such a state of Conservatism on the air that Ted Turner and people who sway to the right of center look liberal.

Ted Turner is right of center?? Are you kidding me??

I said the biggest radio NEWS market is arguably NPR, I'm not sure if it is or not, but it is nationwide and has high exposure. As far as liberal hosts on the radio, none have airtime in my area, so I'm not sure.

The anchors might not choose their subjects, but they certainly can add their own facial and body gestures after comments.

Maybe the media is a little more centrist now, but when I was growing up, I know it was left. Seems like some on here think the media has been a right wing conglomerate since the days of Herbert Hoover. If it is right wing, it is so recently.

Turner may not be the classic Conservative but he certainly was no liberal when he started CNN. Maybe constant attacks by Murdoch and his lap dogs have pushed Turner a little closer to the left. At least it has his image.
And I agree that for awhile the networks where to the left. At least as far as civil rights and Vietnam was concerned.
And we can argue forever about whether or not the way the news man choses his words slants the news. It probably does to some extent.

This NBr radio you guys talk about. I cant even tell you where it is on the dial in my market. I asked two of my neighbors what they heard on NBR radio latley. They asked me what the hell I was talking about. I guess it's not a biggie.
The thing I do like about the battle CNN & Fox are haveing. The two should help force each other to tel the whole story not just parts. And MSNBC is just waiting there. And boy have they been jumping on Fox lately.

DJV yes it is true that MSNBC and FOX are bickering like school girls but they are both leaning way over to the right. I mean what is with this Scarbourough guy? I mean everyone wants to be Rush Limbaugh all of a sudden. It must pay well to be Murdochs lap dog.
I get a kick out of the blonde bimbos in the leather pants like these republican conservatives are trying to be cool or something. But that is fodder for the other thread.

Wow Wayne:

Nice picture. I'd show you my office but I'm too busy hiding behind my flatscreen. Furthermore, didnt realize that you were here since Madjacks inception. I guess that means your important or more knowledgable than more recent members like moi.

Oh soo, sorry, your eminence. Hey old man, one thing I've learned in my years as, based upon that lovely photo of you hard at work adding up premiums collected, I am much older than you (unless thats one hell of a weave and chin job you got going there) is that the length of time on a website does not convey upon you any greater status than those who more recently joined.

As far as insurance companies being bad boys, for 5 years I did insurance defense work and understand the workings of many of these companies. I'm sure for every complimentary letter you have from happy insureds I can show you complaints where carriers have denied legitimate claims forcing there insureds to hire attorneys.

Can't read your plaques on the wall. Nor do I care too. You stated that these things hanging on the wall of your office are "...who you are...". Wow, excuse me if I'm not impressed. I measure character not by the credentials but rather by the person.

Length of time on a website, diplomas and plaques on a wall, medals for military service, letters from insureds etc., big, f****** deal. By your measurements, you must really love Bill Clinton. After all he was a Rhodes scholar. What counts is who you really are baby. Your awards dont matter, just dont matter.

My vitals, you ask? Okay, pumpkin, I'm 6'1", 205lbs, bp is 138 over 90, heartrate 84. I'm a gemini. Turn ons: puppies, world peace, sunsets, walks on the beach and Yanni. Turn offs: back hair, rainy days, rude people and bad hair days.

No ones hiding behind a computer on this end clown. What do you want to know other than that I'm an intelligent, caring, capitalist, plaintiffs attorney who is trying to cast a different light on matters many on these boards take as the word of God. Anytime you want, put on both shoes (I'm sure 65 will lend you his) and come on up to the queen city for baseball, beer and bashing. Oops the scanner just reported a slip and fall, gotta go.

By the way, 65, Wayne does work for Prudential and State Farm and whoever. Ask him who makes the product he's selling. It aint him. Its those wonderful good hands people, like a good neighbor people and rock and umbrella people who are so good at spreading the lies of McDonalds and tort reform.

Spin away. Your right buddy, silver stars dont grow on trees, neither does bullshit.
