My vote for the Heisman...The Entire USC football team for having to play in the Pac-10 all year...i mean playing in the Pac-10 is basically like playing in the NFL...for all those supporters of Manning and White, I laugh at you...USC for Heisman!!!!!!!!!

I think you are correct, Stoops. White will bring it home this year, although I personally think Manning should get it. It's hard to compare the 2, for me at least. Simple stats on paper just doesn't do it for me. Just my .02:shrug:

If you take Jason White away from Oklahoma you have a team that goes 10-2, 9-3 and goes to a New Year's Day Bowl. Exactly like last year with Nate Hybl.

This team is essentially the same team as last year with a few exceptions. They lost their all-conference running back who now plays for the Bronchos, they lost their top three recivers and all-conference tight end, and they changed QB's to Jason White.

So saying you could put any QB in here and do the same thing is BS. We had any QB in here last year and our offense was average at best. Jason White is the difference.

40 TD's and 6 Int. You cannot argue with this stat.

LSU's only loss is to Fla, which happens to be the only game in which Senior SS Jack Hunt did not play. Maybe he should be in the running.

If any of you guys have watched oklahoma this season you would know that white is deserving of the award. He puts everyball on the money. He doesnt have the strongest arm but it would be hard to argue that he does not have one of the most accurate arms. Ive watched the sooners play a few times this season and he has been very impressive in everygame.

Scott4USC stop posting all the usc bullshit, i think everyone is getting sick of reading it. You just make yourself look like a bigger idiot every time.

mademan - still waiting for the 3 wr's that won the heisman. . . don't make me go look it up.

Point of information:

Chaz Woodson wins heisman playing db, wr, and running back kicks/punts.

I think that any WR will have a difficult time winning the heisman whether he's a soph or not. He has to touch the ball more often and be a bigger part of the game. He (any wr) doesn't have the ability to win the game just playing that position.

In my humble opinion, I think that much has been made of the streak that he has going. Something to be very proud of, and a great accomplishment, but not heisman fodder.

I do believe that there are at least 3 other WR's that are as good as, or better than Fitzgerald. (The other Roy Williams - as much as it pains me to say it, Mike Williams, M. Clayton (LSU), and M. Clayton (OU) )

I think that the vote will be closer between Manning and White than it will be between Fitz and White.

WR's to win the Heisman
Desmond Howard '91
Tim Brown '87
Johnny Rodgers '72
How the hell did a Nebraska wide reciever win the Heisman???
I was born in '72 so I am clueless to how this happened.
Jason White has done everything in his power to give the Heisman away to either Fitzgerald, or Manning. Isn't Fitzgerald a sophomore? Don't the voters usually stay away from underclassmen?

Thanks for the answers to the heisman WR's.

Johnny Rodgers won the heisman running back kicks as well.

He ran back one for a touchdown in the "game of the century" against OU in Norman that basically won the game. He also was involved in many "end around's" as well - getting a few rushing touchdowns that year.

My problem with Fitzgerald is he can be stopped. He is not a dominating WR. YES he put up unbelievable #'s and set records but look what he did against stellar competition. I would give the Heisman to Manning because he stepped up against top competition and he put his team in position to beat LSU. He carried his team and is the ultimate MVP!

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
