Above the Clouds....
Just looked at a number..

1900 wagers on Fla
2852 wagers on Ohio St for a 60%-40% edge.

There hasn't been any line movement all week?

The site I look at had -7 all weekend. I know lines are different at all places. I like to stick to one consenus site for a more consistant Figure.

I think the books want this thing to stay under. I saw a stat where 85% were betting the over. Then just to confirm it, I asked 3 squares what they thought all three...

"that is going to fly over..." :mj07:

even I told a buddy the other day the final score would be something like 38-24 Ohio State...

take the under!!!!!!!!!

i'm assuming you saw the 85% on the over at sportsbook.....i'm weary of their #'s

another site i use, maybe a lil more accurate has the over at 71%/ under 29%

in any case its hard to watch a game(esp. champ) and root for the under......but woulnt be surprised to see a score similar to wake/lville game

another thing i notice from reading boards for the last few years and trying to get an edge like we all do, i notice that when people are one side they are on the same total for example:

people backing ohio st like the over....or
fla backers have florida and the under

i wish i had the #'s to back this up b/c i'm sure the percentages are high, but the chances of one side being correct on both accounts are slim

so.....ohio st and the under or fla and the over are more likely to hit then stated above......

again i have no numbers to support this claim, just my observation over the years

:iagree: Couldn't agree more with what you said. I think the first site you stated don't use a large # of betters. 2nd shows a greater group and more accurate info. As for hitting both sides it is very hard. I think I only hit both sides once this year.

agreed Dice, I deal with Sportsbook and have always been suspect of their numbers. Then again why would they post info that could possibly affect their bottom line? As far as people being on the same sides, don't happen much which is why parlays are such money makers for the books. I'm of theory, usually a under helps a dog and an over helps a fav since each has a better chance of covering both ends. For instance a low scoring game helps the dog with points, especially over seven cover. But it's anyones guess these days! GL fellas! Leaning towards OSU
