There are 7 lobbyist in DC for every elected official. For sure lame duck Pres don't listen. Why should they there not coming back. look at Bush's poll numbers even from Fox. There almost at Nixon levels. But he keeps right on going same way over and over. Listens to none but maybe Cheney. Ferd the way to get there attention for a little while is. The next election throw out about 70 of the incumbents.

Wow just like it was almost 230 years ago ! Imagine that ! Nearly every signature on DoI was one of the wealthiest men in the country at the time ....shocking !

Hard to compare life in 1700's to now. Rich people of all persuasions have always benefitted from legislative help. That does not make it right. That is the system most of us would like to change.
