Privatley owned and guys is a millionaire mind you. He could afford a day off but couldn't live knowing we were all getting paid for nothing.


That being said I don't mind work.

My employees didn't want to work today. I told them, OK thats fine. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow, or on Christmas, or Thanksgiving. Oh, now you want to work today and I am a nice guy. They also had the option to pay me $300 and not have to work today because that is how much it costs in rent per day. Shockingly not interested again. It sounds like you have a good boss, "you like him, but think he is a prick" Honestly, that is where I would like to be with every employee of mine, liked but certainly don't want to be their best friend.

I am working by choice this morning. Going to take the afternoon off to watch a couple good college bball games and then will work another couple hours tonight. Isn't it tomorrow that is the important day to be off?

I don't have to work today. However, I checked in(means I signed in from home) for a few hours today to make sure something did not blow up. I have off Dec 20 - Jan7. However, when I get back to work I will be swamped . Noone does my work while I am out it just piles up. :facepalm:

Hey you can just do what my company does. Give all hourly workers the day off, and not give salaried staff the day off. Quite cost efficient. :facepalm:

Have tommorow off so overall can't complain too much. Had christmas off as well.

One timer I agree, he is a good guy, but really can be a dick at times almost to remind us that he is the boss.
