I wonder just how many people put something stupid in their yearbook through the ages? How many people dress like an ass for Halloween? Just last year, we had a cop up this way almost lose his job because he dressed like a "redneck", and his wife was "pregnant" smoking and holding a beer, while sporting a black eye. (He was advocating spousal abuse, of course!) Girls dress like sluts for Halloween all of the time. No one looks at that photo 30 years later, and calls her a slut. Jesus Christ have we thinned out on common sense.
Why was this photo published in the yearbook? Was there an editor? Yes. They saw nothing wrong. Did the school proof read the things submitted for approval? They did. They let it go. Did tons of people chuckle at the silliness of the photo? You can bet they did.
The things people find to scream, "Ah ha!" about, are getting more and more ridiculous.
