Who was gifted with more natural ability for their sport? Michael Vick or Lebron James?

This is a conversation that a few of us had last night during James' NBA debut.

I do think Lebron was born to play basketball! Although if I had to guess, Vick can probably ball pretty good as well as Lebron could lay somebody out if he was playing linebacker! It is a toss up! They are both on top of their games!

i think

i think

that james is an enormous natural talent...but there are other similar talents in the nba now(bryant,mccrady,anthony).....maybe james will be better than these guys...time will tell

but i believe that vick is unique....his arm is frightening....he flicks his wrist and the ball explodes out of his hand....his quickness is unheard of....and so effortless...look at the falcons without him....

i think a better comparison with vick would be roy jones jr..i understand that one competes in a team sport and one doesn`t.....but,i don`t think i`ve ever seen 2 guys whose physical gifts are so superior to everyone else in their sport...

interesting thread,dawg...

I voted for Vick, but I can see the other side of it. In my opinion, James is going to be the first real superstar in the NBA since Jordan. Noone has been completely unstoppable like that, and I think he has the gift. Remember that this guy is one year removed from playing HS ball. I really didn't buy into the hype until last night. The guy belongs in the league now. He is an absolute specimen and he looks more physically mature than a lot of the players on the court with him.

The Cavaliers will still struggle without help for a year or two, but once he becomes the bonified leader of this club it will be nasty.

gw--I agree about Vick. He does things that shouldn't be done on the gridiron.

for all that is right in this wrong world. james is impressive, but can we let him play more than two games ? did you see the sac game ? sac does not play d. period. he was open off of picks so many times. again, he looks to be a fine player. i will give him his due after a season or two. vick plays a position like no other. he can be chased by 11 different guys at any time. the nba is a joke anyway. so few greta teams and so many mediocre teams. this is a league where antoine walker is a star. are you kidding me ? this guy travels on every play. go back and watch espn classic. see how many guys can pass, shoot, play d. walker may have come off the bench if lucky. there are many very good players in the nba today and james may be one of them. but all i ask is that the guy plays a full season before we make him the 2nd comming. i guess to answer the query : VICK.:)

Vick

Vick

Vick, Vick, I have never seen anybody as fast as him in pads. The guy has more fast twitch fibers than most two men combined!

Don't you think it's a bit early to be asking this question? The kid (Lebron) has only played three games.

Actually I don't think it's too early. You either have natural ability at the top level or not. Vick showed it from the start and I think Lebron is as well.

Everyone needs to get off of their soapbox. I'm not sucking off Lebron by any means. I think Vick wins this hands down.
