Who is Granger and does it matter?

Someone from Oklahoma just posted on another forum that Granger had been sent home? Is this someone that could affect the outcome of the game? Unfamiliar with the names, so that's reason for this quite likely stupid question?

He's their best defensive tackle and a key player in stopping a rushing attack. It's a significant loss.
