I don't watch the State of the Union very often, and I didn't watch last nights. It was a good night to catch up on some reading. But i did determine that it would be over, and turned on the TV to find the "Democratic Response". Good God, what was that?

I'm just encouraged that you guys are on here bagging him. I know that the Des have someone better to put up there than that. Hell, I think they should have just had Bush talk again and that would encourage more people to vote Democrat than this guy.

He made a great speech at the convention. That's maybe what you're thinking of.

From what I have read, Kaine was chosen by Dean because they feel that he connects with folks in the South and also appeals to Republicans with his anti gay and bullish military beliefs. It is rumoured that the power brokers in the DEM party feel that they can move the party to the right and become basically the Republican-Lite party while still keeping the vote of the far left as they feel the GOP under Bush has moved too far right from the mainstream.

I want my country back, I want a new party. I vote, I try to make a difference on the local level, I suggest that all of you and your friends do the same thing. Liked Obama when I 1st saw him at Dem convention--but has dropped considerably since being bounced in lime-light--has changed since coming into national scene and has has started pandering to the liberal left deep pockets knowing its the onlyway to the big picture.
