I saw a Rex Grossman for the second time who faced adversity and imploded. I've seen good QB's have bad days, Brett Favre is a good example. I have bet on Brett on these bad days and lost $$$! QB's will have bad days. The thing that troubled me is that Rex had a look on his face like a deer in head-lights. I felt like the game was over early in the third quarter. Good QB's face adversity and deal w/ it. Rex is money when ahead and w/ one of the best defense's ever. So was Orton. However, when behind ???????????
In conclusion, put this in the memory bank. Qb's have bad games thats a given! This is one of the best teams I have ever seen w/ out an average QB. I will not be on the wrong side , the next time I step out big w/ the Bears involved. Do not count on Rex to come from behind. I would appreciate confirmation on the above. Did you guys see the same thing I saw?

D.O.C.
line opened -1 gints and now is -3, jump aboard personally i love gints

For someone who follows the Bears.....them being an underdog is better suited for this club and when they are underdogs they play with a chip on their shoulders......Grossman was horrendous today and the only thing he did right was the hard count that accounted for a few encroahment penalties.......also, the D did not look good.....everytime harrington got outside the pocket and slipped the defenders, the Bears had no answer.........i would look for them to bounce back and this game should come down to a FG either way

Homer opinion, but Bears will be fine. The injured Giants D has gone against Houston and Tampa (in 40 mph wind). Grossman didn't like the Dline at his feet today.
Please don't tell me I jumped the gun---respect both of your cappers opinions. I believe in NFL hangovers! Played SFran based on Monday night ass-kicking to Minn by NE. See the same thing here after first loss of the season, hard to deal w/ emotionally.

There used to be a hugely successful angle of betting against a team coming off a loss after 4+ wins. Haven't followed it in years, though, after a mini-slump.

I don't love the Bears next week, but that's the way I'm leaning.

Still curious if anyone saw the discouraging looks on Rex?---i would not feel confident coming from behind w/ him at this point. By the way, I played for a top 25 college baseball team, clean-up hitter for the top 25 delaware blue hens (1987-1990). Stating this because being an ex athelete I base some plays on my sporting experiences. I've played w/ guys who are great until they go into slump, get behind etc. By no means am i burying Rex at this point , however, I believe he has not proven he can handle the pressure when in adversity.
