I put $750 to win $1500 on the Spurs to win it all. Hopefully Duncan makes it back ok or else I am screwed.

anyone think the kings have a decent shot here? seeing a lot of lines around 60-1...seems to me like that might be worth a unit or two - the west isn't what it once was; if duncan goes down things are wide open and if brad miller gets back for the playoffs i wouldn't be too shocked to see the kings come out of the west, especially if they play the choking sonics in the first round. also looking at the rockets or mavs as a nice longshot, but i'm drooling over that 60-1...thoughts?

dont see anyone but deet having a chance vs west ... in the west anyone can win, but if TDs healthy have to lean hard there ... could be very interesting 1st rd series with nugs ... Im praying somehow nugs get sea in 1st rd ... got nugs 25/1 to win west and suns 30/1 to win west along with mavs 15/1 for smaller amount ... then hedged it all long ago with spurs +185 to win west ... also took hou 40/1 to win nba long ago .... so i can hedge myself into something decent i hope ...

have to lean to best def. teams with exp which id say is spurs/deet ...

shaq haters, seems like hes homing in a MVP trophy, unless of course Kobe beats him out ;)

Nuggets at 25-1

Think you can take any long shot in the west and have a good chance..................

The east has to be miami...............................

I would put money on Seattle or Memphis but like denver, phoenix, spurs, houston.......dallas..........any could win it even sactown.........................good luck

The way I see it is Mia or Chi in the east. SA will get Hou, Sac, or Den. If I was SA, I would hope for Hou. Out of the west only Hou and Mem might play slow down ball which I think would benefit SA. It could work out to where they would have to beat Den, Sac, and Phoe to win the west. I'm not sure they can beat Den and I'm almost positive they can't beat Phoe without home court.

Consistency and coaching wins play-off games.

In the east the coaching goes to Det, Ind, Mia and Chi. The consistency goes to Mia and Chi. How much will they miss Curry? Not as much as most people think but it sure didn't help their cause. With Gordon in the line-up, they'll be dangerous. The problem is, if I've got my brackets right, they can't get to the finals in the east without going thru Mia and for the same reason (brackets), I think Wash is a sleeper for the eastern finals. Why do I rule out Det. They won last year by over achieving and pure determination and I loved every minute of it but it's hard for any group that has won it all to make themselves play at that level a second time around.

In the west the coaching goes to SA, Den, and Sac. Consistency goes to Phoe, SA, Den. There are a lot of teams in the west that are just too streaky for me. They can win 4 in a row or blow 4 in a row. Somewhere during the play-offs they fail to show up. I'm looking for the winner of the Den/SA match-up to be playing Phoe.

Now to boil all this down, I think only two teams in the east have a shot at Mia and that would be Chi and Wash.

In the west I don't believe SA could handle Mia but both Phoe and Den would have a shot.

I would like to see a Mia/Phoe or Den match-up. I don't know who I would pull for but it would sure be fun to watch.

The Rockets are a terrible home team and have no power forward whatsoever.
Howard season is over and C-Spoon,Bowen,Padgett combo is just plain bad.
Duncan will eat them up.
I do like the Rockets to win a round maybe even 2 if SA is not in their side.
I think it is a smart bet on Hou if they avoid SA because they have proven Sea,Dal, and Phx are not big problems to them.

Chicago are you SERIOUS???? That team will not make it out of the first round and thats my favorite team. Detroit will eat up any team in the East come playoff time including Miami...

The west is a little more complicated, but I see no one matching up with T. Duncan. Playoffs are ALWAYS about defense - Phoenix will get beat by SA in the Western Conference finals. Denver is playing well - just not enough experience... Maybe next year

DETROIT VS. S. A. EASY
