I'd be very leary looking at VCU a 5 seed, vs Akron a 12 seed, 12's over 5's, 11's over 6's last 3 years, ats the favorites are 37% first round. VCU last 10 games not very good, Akron even without their lead PG, has played very respectable and took it to a once thought of NCAA hopeful tourney team in Ohio very easily on Saturday.

Just a lil food for thought, much much more can happen between today and game time as we all know.

You bring up good points.

Time and time again I seem to discount my teams chances when it seems that very difficult obsticles have been tossed their way. I seem to always find a way to sell them short.

I have over looked the fact that , with exception of Abreu, that this roster is dominated by good kids, high character kids and they are very, very well coached. They seem to take whatever circumstances that they face and find a positive way to deal with it.

All that said, this will be the ultimate challenge but who knows. The loss of Abreu will be most telling in this spot. This team has surprised me all year long. What's one more game ?

Beating Ohio is one thing, but handling the Havoc of VCU's D without your point guard will be a huge obstacle, in my opinion.

The 5 vs 12 history doesn't bother me at all. Everyone is well aware of that angle, as the media goes nuts over it every single year. I prefer the larger faves and smaller dogs in this spot.

Boy did Akron look like their whole team was in shock their was a game being played the first 2 minutes into it!! Lethargic and no clue of how to move to the ball, they played hard, but out played by a hungry team in VCU!!

Akron had a good year though, best win streak in Nation in CBB and left it all on the court, literally!!

Iowa St over Notre Dame may be best game of the day/night!

Yesterday's best game was MarQ vs Davidson imho, today I really like North Carolina -3 1/2, line has fluctuated around 4 to 5, Nova did a number on some very good teams on their home court, but today it's a wide open game and Reggie will atone for his poor performance vs UM in the ACC Final!! Hairston has a great day along with the lil lefty, Page!!

UNC - the pts!!

GL!

Michigan St -5 1/2 on Saturday, yeah, State has a tough time beating CUSA clubs, but this is in Auburn Hills, their big guys and guards matchup very well with Memphis who almost lost outright in the final secs vs St Mary's who can't beat a one legged man in a one legged ass kickin contest, State will run and pressure "D" and put Stephens on the bench quickly from Payne and the other big kids getting looks, Costello the difference, State wins by 8 or more!!

GL ya'll!!
