why bother running the race

if they are afraid to drive in the rain?? if they are the best drivers and cars in the world they should know how to drive on wet roads..the 500 and 600 were both shortened and it doesn't seem fair to the fans, though i am not a nascar fan..:shrug: :shrug:

The Goodyear tires they have to work with make it impossible to race in the rain.
Some races they are lucky to have decent tires when it is dry.
See the Brickyard race last year.
