Gee Dogs, about the bet, I thought you wanted to talk the talk. I thought you were challenging me. Guess not. Sorry if I misunderstood.

We're talking about the GOP being in charge after refusing to legislate anti-terrorist bills before 9/11 NOT CLINTON. Got it? Why should they even have jobs? That's the question, slick. If you hire someone to protect your wife and kids and he falls asleep and they're murdered, do you rehire him to protect your mom and dad? Again, why should these political hacks have jobs after stopping legislation that could have strengthened America's defenses and protect people's lifes? They've been wrong on practically every issue, why do they still have jobs, and why no accountability? Why no exposure on all the liberal media showing how the GOP refused to protect the people before 9/11. Why doesn't the liberal media run these accounts 24/7 until the american people realize they're just political hacks and have never really been concerned with our safety. It's just a game of partisan politics to these guys, not a concern for americans. If the press is so liberal, why isn't this happening?

I am in fact challenging you--you are the one said Book it--just because I'm not willing to wager on election where candidates are not even known has nothing to do with you putting up or just chirping--

I'll see if I can find you book on your wager and we'll see what you do.

The challenge was to you, Dogs. If YOU want to bet, I'll bet with you, and Kosar can hold the money. You're the guy that started the 'talk the talk or walk the walk' BS, not me. If you don't want to walk the walk, don't talk the talk so much on the forum. I can find my own wagers in our little cyberworld without your help. You're like my neighbor's dog. She's an older widow that has a yapping litte dog (a chihuhua). Sometimes I help out around her house as she's getting up in years. When I'm inside sitting the chihuhua makes such a fuss over me to playfully get closer and closer, and then when it's climbed far enough into my lap, it tries to bite my nose off. That's you dogs. You're that dog. LOL You should change your name to 'yapping little dog that bites noses'. :nono:

Auspice, I will take a piece of that action. Up your bet another $10 for me! :142smilie

Seriously, I wouldn't make that bet yet. There is no way knowing how the neocon spin machine will spin this election. With right wing radio and most of the known media on their side. Remember they made Kerry and McCain, both real war hero's into idiots and traitors while making excuses for the draft dodger Bush. The power of the neocon run media in this country is devastating.

Stevie honest question. Do you ever remember polls being taken about congress? Have i missed all these polls in the last 30 years? I swear in about the last six months this is the first time i have heard of such polls.

Agree 100% It's a well oiled machine. It's also much deeper than the Fox opinion channel. Every 'liberal' media that so many right wingers identify are really right wing controlled. Again, my question, why doesn't a 'liberal media' outlet play the account of how the GOP refused to pass anti-terrorist legislation 24/7. Why don't they? They all don't want the public to focus on it. Only answer. They're not authentic liberal outlets. The truth just seems to escape everyone. It's puzzling why nobody sees it or even talks about it. Why no mention of Bush's alledged homosexuality earlier in his life? Why not so many things? Instead they focus on the pantsuit that makes Hillary look fat or some other insiduous bit of info. Liberal media is a pipe dream.

Because they lose there jobs. See Dan Rather. Bill Maher is about as close as it gets to the line you are talking about but how many people have HBO? Maher also lost his job years back. You probably could say the same thing about Howard Stern.

Bill Maher isn't even close to the line.

Auspice you never hear of this either

-Clinton sent legislation to Congress to TIGHTEN AIRPORT SECURITY. (Remember, this is before 911) The legislation was defeated by the Republicans because of opposition from the airlines.
-Clinton sent legislation to Congress to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF TERRORIST FUNDING. It was defeated by Republicans in the Senate because of opposition from banking interests.
-Clinton sent legislation to Congress to add tagents to explosives, to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF EXPLOSIVES USED BY TERRORISTS. It was defeated by the Republicans because of opposition from the NRA.

Do you know anyone closer? Maybe the guy on air American who use to call it the Bush crime family but who knows if he is still around.

Maher is a funny guy. But he's far from an adroit researcher or tactician. He's a comedian with a hard on for Bush, nothing more. He'd attack the left just as easily for a laugh, it's what comedians do. If he had the research staff needed, he'd probably have no guests. He's simply good entertainment (at times). I meant no disrespect to him.

-- or the New #2 with all blanks in profile that just came on in July 04--since from Ohio could all be Edwards Alter ego's.

Did search on both an entirely political forum junkies--no wagers on anything--no one knows them personally -except maybe Edward :)

If you find a real indentity that someone credible can verify--we might make some sort of wager in the future--otherwise your just another cyber worm--

Wayne,

FWIW, Auspice is a real person and NOT Eddie or any 'worm' or troll. I know his real, full name, where he lives and have communicated with him for at least 5 or 6 years.

His original screenname here was Auspice and this one is Auspice(2). Auspice is the name he uses at other gambling forums and Auspice 2 doesn't seem like an attempt to 'start new', or to 'ghost.' Maybe he lost his PW or something. I dunno.

Whatever the case, in the unlikely event this bet actually happens, I have no problem holding the money, whatever the amount and i'm sure neither of you would have a problem either with that.

However, the 'rules' have to be extremely clear- cut and not open for any sort of interpretation in any way. I think we all know how these things go. Almost invariably, somebody has a beef about something.

Dogs, I respectfully withdraw the offer for the bet. You're a dollar player. Good for you. It allows you to enjoy wagering without getting buried. I wish more players were just like you. There'd be less friction on the picks and less jealousy and self loathing for all to see.

I just got a little emtionally carried away with your 'talk the talk, walk the walk' talk. Ten dimes iwould be a monster bet for me as well. I can and would readily do it if the right situation presented itself, but trying to pound blood out of someone's ass that I have a little disagreement with is more a sign of weakness than machoism. If we can't disagree and razz each other a little bit, what's the point in posting? We'll get along just fine.

Thanks for clearing that up Matt--as I was going to disregard him as cyber goast--I'll give him a little more consideration in the future --however you can understand my skeptism --with someone with multiple handles wanting to make $10,000 wager on unknown opponants :)

Believe the only bill on Pelosi or Reids 1st 100 day promise to pass is minimum wage--why?

They have been doing what they do best--not passing bills but spending time whining--

Thought this quite revealing---

BAIER: And by the numbers. By the administration's count, the Democrat-led Congress has launched more than 300 executive branch investigations, made more than 400 requests for documents, interviews or testimony, held more than 600 oversight hearings, and the administering has provided 430,000 pages.

Snow, then put the new video screens in the revamped briefing room to use.

SNOW: If you took those 430,000 pages and stacked them on top of each other, they would reach a height twice that of the executive mansion itself.

This is a partisan post and standard bull shit. There are 535 members of Congress..... 435 in the house... 100 in the senate... 233 dems, 201rebs,2 ind in the house..... 50 dems & 49 rebs in the senate..... If the majority of these people had a conscience for AMERICA WE WOULD HAVE BETTER RESULTS. It's not about what side of the isle these clowns are on, they don't care about you and me. WE NEED TO VOTE !!! WAKE UP America, apathy is starring you right in the face. We the people have endorsed this . When they take these polls , they should also ask these people if they vote. The rest is just BULL SHIT !!!

is bull shit and how was GOP responsible for above--

How many hearings have they had just over GW firing a few justices--how many did GOP have when Clinton replaced them all?

I just don't buy some those numbers. Dem's been in charge what 7 months. 600 oversight hearings. What where in the halls and bath rooms. 300 others. Unless we count everytime someone asked who just farted//then maybe in a year.
