Souther played some bigger school teams. They actually beat TAM, and played Wyoming and Tulane down to the wire.
They play good D, they apply pressure, and have some lengthy guys that can hold the Zags somewhat in check.
Couple that with the fact that the Zags have the pressure of the big #1 seed and it's round 1, and I think Southern can keep it relatively close.
22 is a lot of points.

Thanks for the reply. All 3 of the schools mentioned suck though IMHO. I hate chalk, but I see no reason to back Southern here.
I think Gonzaga will pound it down low, own the boards, and get easy buckets in transition. I think Southern will hold the ball and jack up bs shots with 5 or less on the clock. I'm seeing a 80-40 type game.

This is a back door game, Six, imho!! Gonzaga will put up points and keep running the game the 2nd half, but they'll lay low and put the scrubs in like Mich State did today to allow Valpo back into the game when it was over at 1/2 time. Zags way too deep and too much size for Southern, this could be a 25 pt blow out or 20 pt back door cover for Southern. I have Zags only winning by 19 and there is no real home court ad but the mountain air could suck Southern's life outta them the 2nd half. We shall see!
