Why does the US gov send me a letter telling me I'm getting a letter?

the plot thickens...we sent our census in last week....and we just got a "post-census" letter....

i see a visit from a census worker in my future...i couldn`t resist writing on my form that it`s just me and 50 anonymous polynesian women living in the bunker.....

the "follow up" (stating you should have received) has me 150% confused!!!! if they send a freaken worker to my door (OBLIGATED for the long survey again) i will be SOOOOOOOOOO pissed off.

folllow up states to send it in right away!!!???!!!????

form asks for people living in the household specifically on 4/1/2010 and lists "exclusions" of prison, nursing home, away @ school, etc

if i was still with my ex, wouldn't have a CLUE as to if he'd be in prison that day, and right now, my father is close to questionable for possible temporary nursing home for round the clock care.

I don't have a damn clue if i'm to fill this out "right away", or wait until april 2nd to know who the hell was actually here on April !.......

The fine for not filling out a census form is $100.00...it has NEVER been assessed.

We recently moved and received a 20 some page booklet to fill out..

even asked questions like what time do you go to bed, how far do you drive to work, and an endless quest for personal info...I chunked the POS in the trash.

Received several follow up letters and contact numbers for the regional center in K.C.

Ignored them all...a regional suit showed up at our door, I was at the YMCA, he handed my wife a biz card & another 20+ page life story form, saying " I hope to see this completed on my desk Monday"

I gleefully threw this one into the trash..never heard back....that was a year and a half ago..

The short form will be sent in April 1 stating
" A happily married retired white couple lives here, that is all the info you are getting, DO NOT BOTHER TO CONTACT US FOR ANY MORE INFO, AS IT WILL NOT BE FORTHCOMING..."

The census is a body count period..any more than that, is intrusive,,,the 20+ page form info is sold to marketeers.....

The less info you have floating around out in Gubberment cyberspace the better.
