I will be at the game my family has season tickets... Although I'm thinking about scalping my tickets they will be selling around 1000 by kickoff... Just kidding I wouldn't miss this game for anything. What section are you in?

Texas deserves to be #1 based on this year's biggest win against very good Ohio St. team on the road. But they will have no problem getting to Pasadena as long as they stay undefeated. VT, Bama, Penn St. and Georgia will all be outside looking in if USC and Texas go undefeated.

Looks like great seats! That is a really cool ND website to check out seat locations. Props to them! My #1 criteria was NOT to sit low. My Mom and brother are going to try and buy tickets at the game cheap. If they don't get any they don't really care. They got USC/OU tickets for $50 each the day of the game. This being a rivalry game I don't think they have good chance.

You should give Mark May a hard time for week after week bashing the Irish. Herbie from day 1 talked highly of your team. May has nothing but good things to say about USC so he is ok in my book!

if you honestly think va tech is a better team than sc you have serious issues with jusging talent.

sc gives a half hearted effort vs the cats and puts up 720 yards of offense

sc has faced a VERY difficult schedule thus far and will continue to do so....running the table this year will be very impressive. Remember, every road game they play, they get the best effort from the opponent (@ore, @asu, @nd, cal, fresno, ucla.....6 extrremely tough games)

personally i think they are in for their toughest challenge this weekend at nd.....the power of touchdown jesus will be HUGE

VIRGINIA TECH has only played 1 team with an offense barely in the top half of college football.

What is Alabama ranked nationally? Isn't Alabama the #1 or very least #2 team in the SEC?

USC could have scored 100 on Arkansas as Leinart only threw 28 passes and Bush only carried the ball 8 times and Carroll called off the dogs yet USC 2nd and 3rd string units scored on Arkansas 1st string D.

The following week after USC hung 70 on Arky, Arkansas outgained Alabama and ran for about 250 yds before losing a close game. And of course 2 weeks ago Alabama smoked Florida.

With ranked teams @ND, @Cal, Fresno St along with UCLA left still to come, I'm sure the coaches at USC will be preaching to the team that they have to play 4 quarters. USC only played 1/2 game against RANKED teams ON THE ROAD in back to back weeks and outscored them 70-7 in 2nd half after floundering in the 1st half.

Not impressed? GIVE ME A FAWKING BREAK! But you are impressed with other teams but not USC?USC has the heart of a champion. Every week USC takes their opponents best shot. There is a reason NOBODY has won 3 straight National Championships. Will USC make history? They will have to do it playing a tough schedule!

Oh boy I hope there are some upsets as I would hate to see another team or teams get their hearts broken. This season is looking like it could turn into the major disaster playoff buffs might need to get what we feel is best for the game.

I am no USC fan but if they actually would put 2 halves together, it is scary what they might do. I respect some of the other unbeatens but I see one huge problem with a bunch of them. I don't think any of them have the offense to match scores with USC. If USC plays just a smidgen of defense & gets up a few scores, who is going to catch them.


Georgia: great shutdown type defense but that offense isn't good enough to win. no offense but I don't see any defense really doing a full shutdown of USC.

Texas: I'm not buying into the hype as they beat what looks to be a severely overrated Buckeye team (however on paper it was the best quality win), & they finally beat OU when OU is clearly on a 1 yr down cycle. I think they get handed a dd loss by TT anyhow.

Virgina Tech: I'm not sold on their defense. The only advantage I see them having over USC is special teams & that won't be enough.

Alabama: Same problem, shutdown type defense but the offense doesn't have a chance. If they were to get down by 14 or so against USC, call it a night.


Miami: defense = great, offense not good enough


Penn State: won't worry about them, they will lose twice before the year is up. talk about the most fradulent top 10 team, well here they are.

You can say that again. USC SUCKS on special teams. Horrible. That is my only gripe with Carroll. USC never has been solid on special teams and he doesn't focus on it like Beamer.

USC defense is much better than I thought they would be this year. And USC has been injury plagued on D too. Carroll is earning his money as DC. I think USC has good enough D to have a legit shot at holding any opponent to under 30pts. I don't think there is a defense in CFB who can hold USC O under 30pts. Especially if USC plays 4 quarters. That is something USC excels at in bowl games. USC is an amazing team at the end of the year! USC players on D have said they knew every Iowa, Michigan and OU offensive plays prior to playing them. And guess what? Neither of those teams added many plays for the game. So you can see how well coached USC is. Don't give USC 4 weeks to prepare. :scared

Hockey many things may well happen, but I promise you texas losing to tech wont be one of them. Better chance they lose in college station or this week to Colorado. There is a reason they played 3 patsies to star the year. Tech will win the rest of their Big 12 games, but lose by 20- in Austin.

VT almost beat USC last year. Who's to say they couldn't beat them this year? Because USC may have more talent??? Should we just line teams up and see how fast they run the 40, or how much they bench press, or vertical leap to decide the national championship? Give me a break...

700 yards of offense against Arizona means nothing to me. Arizona is terrible.

Virginia Tech is not in the same class with USC. They are the 3rd best team in the ACC behind FSU and Miami. They should have lost to NC State. Im not sold on Texas either they beat an overrated Ohio State team and a horrible Oklahoma team. I think USC would beat both of them by at least 20.

I agree with you. I don't think Virginia Tech will go undefeated but Texas probably will because they dont play anybody the rest of the season. I think Auburn and Utah were both robbed last year. I think they were both better than Oklahoma.
