Do you think that the NBA whats the Lakers to advance?!!? I know that today's Referees do.. I mean Nash gets fouled at the end of regulation and gets absolutely mugged* at the end of the overtime period. Had the Suns +1.5 but still think that this is why a lot of people think that the NBA is fixed. Hell, don't be suprised to see Kobe & Phil in the NBA Finals.

*With respect to Kobe's wife, I used the word "mugged" instead of "raped".

Yeah - Makes sense :mj07: Kobe was in constant foul trouble the whole game. 3 fouls in the first quarter, yet the "referees" want the Lakers to win.

Nash "MVP" put himself in a bad position twice. The first time he got the ball stolen from which was clean. Phoenix should have called a TIMEOUT instead of forcing the ball in and Smush making a great play.

Secondly, Nash pushed off and knocked Walton to the ground in order for him to receive the ball on the inbound pass. Then the knucklehead decides to go right towards the trap and YOU think the refs are going to call a foul in that position. You're crazy.

Lastly, what the hell did KOBE do? He wasn't involved with either of those plays. Instead he hit two tremendous shots in order for them to tie and ultimately win the game. Give me a fawking break.

Furthermore, why would the NBA want the Lakers and Knicks out of the playoffs each year the last four. LOL. Why would the want the Spurs (small market team) to win two of the last three. Jesus, give it a rest.

Kobe or Lebron are the two best players in the world. Steve Nash should have never won the MVP.

One reason Game 5 should be played-and I know every Red Sox fan in the country will back me up on this-is because you never know what will happen. Nobody had ever come back from 3-0 down before the Sox did it. Even if your mind is made up, I am sure Phoenix believes they can still win.

Yeah, you're right, why even play game five? There is no way in hell Los Angeles will win in Phoenix. The Suns will get every close call in game five because they are going to do nothing but bitch between now and then. Not to mention, the league would love to see this series go seven. It's all about ratings and revenue. See you back in "Tinsel Town" for game six!

I'm not saying the games are fixed but......

I told the gf during regulation that this game would most likely go into OT :142smilie

PERFECT SITUATION

Sunday Prime Time with the two high powered teams (one being the Lakers) while the next game just happenned to be scheduled a bit later in the day.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying

i've been to a few PHO games (when they were playing on the road) and Nash & company get PLENTY of foul calls - it was the laker's homecourt in the playoffs - don't you expect a few more calls to go for the home team? for instance, when the spurs play in san antonio, don't they get just a few more calls??... :mj07:

Nash was deserving last year, but i totally agree here - lebron & kobe are the best - look at their teammates (they suck) and look at what both their teams are doing in the playoffs...

The REAL LA team will put em away.

this is the best point - it doesn't matter who wins the lakers-suns series, because the Clippers will put them away... but i think a LA series would be exciting :SIB

I might consider Koby or LeBron better than decent players the day I see them attempt to play defense on one or two plays a game instead of spending their time on the court cherry picking and/or spending their time with the ball looking for their shot

lack of defense from lebron? absolutely. that was the knock on him in high school and its still the knock on him in the pros.

but kobe? no way. he's one of the best defenders in the nba. btw- i have been incredibly impressed with kobe's willingness to defer to teammates this series. they've played four games and he has been almost unselfish to a fault in all four.

He's in a league who's idea of defense (outside of the Pistons) is setting a slow pace. He's the best player on a team with a "genius" head coach, who was smart enough to put a real good coach at his side again, and they can barely make the playoffs (beating out teams including one that had a hurricane wipe out their city). They are currently playing a one dimensional team that did very well during the season against a weak league. Genius Phil has decided to bring the ball up the court slowly all game. BFD. Lets see Koby and his defense and Phil brain trust have any success in a series against some real talent bringing the ball up slowly. This one dimensional Suns team would be candy for almost every team in the playoffs. The Laker burial is just being put off for the moment. As a Laker, Koby won't see a ring again.
