I've never been a big conspiracy theorist, but this makes some sense. We haven't had a refinery built in this country in what 20 years or so. The environmentalists certainly don't want them built. I would venture to say oil companies don't want em built because then supply might catch up to demand. It certainly seems like a win win for both these groups. Does this seem plausible? I mean no refineries in 20 years??? Surely the oil companies and their lobbyists could get at least 1 if they wanted it.
