These whores are behind the $4.00+ gas prices. Every single negative issue happening to our people and economy is directing linked to these 2 whores. Cheney is so corrupt he should be locked up. GWB is just so ****ing stupid he listens to **** and daddy so he is useless. Iraq's paying $.25 for oil we now help control. Saudi's $.45. Meanwhile if you dig deep in every US OIL CO you will find a connection to GWB or Daddy or ****. How can they be allowed to have 1/4 profits in 10's of billions the most EVER while us AMERICANS are drowning in a shit economy.

You are not actually insinuating that the pres and vice pres as terrorists are you?
The oil company's have run the world for a long time and until there is no demand they will continue to do so. You think $4 gas is expensive just wait. Gas has been on the cheap side in the states compared to the rest of the world for along time. We are paying 3.80 in Jax right now and it does not even phase me. I just fill it up and go on. Hell its cheaper than a six pack. When it gets to $6 a gallon I will just start riding my Harley more. :SIB

Chavez: No. The International Humanitarian Bank. We are just creating an alternative way to conduct financial exchange. It is based on cooperation. For example, we send oil to Uruguay for their refinery and they are paying us with cows.

Q: Milk for oil.

Chavez: That's right. Milk for oil. The Argentineans also pay us with cows. And they give us medical equipment to combat cancer. It's a transfer of technology. We also exchange oil for software technology. Uruguay is one of the biggest producers of software. We are breaking with the neoliberal model. We do not believe in free trade. We believe in fair trade and exchange, not competition but cooperation. I'm not giving away oil for free. Just using oil, first to benefit our people, to relieve poverty. For a hundred years we have been one of the largest oil-producing countries in the world but with a 60 percent poverty rate and now we are canceling the historical debt.

Very, very interesting. Anything that cuts the bankers out of the loop is positive.

****ing crazy

****ing crazy

Stop posting garbage.

Oil is up because we can't drill for it ourselves, since democrats have put our reserves off-limits.

Just do some reading. The president has been pushing to open ANWAR for drilling (not the kind Scott-atlanta or Kosar are used to, either) since he got in.

Crude oil is among the worlds most abundant resource. There's more of it than wheat, sugar rice, sorghum, or any type of foodstuff, yet, the prices keep going up, EVEN WITH YOUR VAULTED DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS.

This is about a dozen threads on subjects and they all have one thing in common--most continuely whining about the price of gas are the very same that will vote for those refusing to drill here and wanting to impose higher gas taxes--

On the course!
as i posted in the political forum, i don't follow the oil problem very closely...but i do think there is some kind of silent deal among the oil companies to keep prices the same...

It's called OPEC

Been around for quite some time now.

OIL as risen drastically last couple weeks because nearly 30 percent of production has been ceased in middle East for "seasonal maintenance". Why was this done now? Because it is the start of the summer driving season, ie memorial day weekend.

I was wondering if the ascended mage or gw or any other neocon Bush apologists have any idea how much oil, best case scenario, is in the ANWAR reserves and how long that oil would sustain US consumption. (I will give you a hint, its less than a year). It just baffles me how Rush and the like fill your heads with garbage and then you go about spouting the nonsense as though it represents reality and original thought. Oil has increased 400% under Bush and Cheney because of Clinton and ANWAR. Just baffling.

I love how the media spews news about a bunch of numbers to get people fired up, e.g. XOM made billions last quarter. It takes a lot money to run oil companies and their ROI is about 8%, compare that to other verticals where the average ROI is 7.5-7.9%.

Senate blocks filibuster-proof vote on ANWR
Human Events, Mar 31, 2003
On March 19, by a vote of 52 to 48, the Senate approved an amendment by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D.-Calif.) to prevent consideration of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in a fast-track budget reconciliation bill.

The amendment will prevent the Senate from considering ANWR drilling as part of the budget process. Under Senate rules, if it were considered as part of the budget process, a filibuster could not be used to block it.

or if you prefer you can read about at your fav source:)

Again you don't answer the question. When Bush and the Republicans controlled everything for 6 years why didn't they drill then? Plus, they had the added boost of this being right after 9-11 that they could have used for leverage to not be dependent on Arab oil. But it didn't happen. So I ask again DTB Why not?
