It just seems like Buffalo is truely a better team, they beat Ball by 11 less than a month ago. Ball is home this time, but it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Anyone have any info about this game?

The only fact i really noticed was that Buffalo shot about twenty more free throws than ball state, not sure if it was due to bad refereeing or being out hustled.

Look at Idaho and Fresno St. last night. Fresno beat Idaho by about 30 4 days ago, then turned around last night and lost by about 15. I almost fell for that shit, but Gman and JohnnyB were able to sway me off. Thanks, guys.

buffalo IS the better team; however, that doesn't mean very much. right now, buffalo just is not getting any production from their bench. their starting five is as good as anybody's in the conference ... but once they go to the bench, thats when things are getting dicey for them. ball state has their own depth problems so tonight is a pretty good matchup for buffalo. but ball state has a solid home court edge despite their mediocre record. if stovall didn't tear his acl, they'd probably be the best team in the west. instead, they are just an average team. who wins tonight is a complete tossup- thus, the pick line makes sense.

gman,
That is an accurate assessment of Buffalo--they are one of the most unpredictable teams in the MAC. It seems like when they get a good spot, they lay down, especially on the road. And how can Idbihi only score 3 and get 2 rebounds? This is the problem with betting on the Bulls, you never know what you are going to get.

Normally I would be on Ball State in this situation however their last outing vs. E Mich was downright disturbing. Buffalo has a very nice guard in Calvin Cage but they seem to lack the spark and leadership that they enjoyed last year from Turner Battle.

No play for me on the side, just a small play on the under@129'

Ball State only has a home court edge when they're playing well. Nobody goes to the games when they suck, like they do now. I'm on Buffalo BIG.

i've found buffalo to be one of the easiest teams to predict in the entire country. maybe its cause i go to school there. but when theres a buzz on campus they cover. rutgers, fresno, ohio, niagara this year. more as u date back last year. last game when we played miami noone really cared and u knew they were going to lose. i never can bring myself to bet against my team, but everytime i keep myself from betting on them they seem to not cover. actually i did bet against them once Centr Mich +17. figured i could win some money and my team still win. Well the first part came true.. guess i shoulda taken the moneyline

so i have a good feel for buffalo when they play at home? which is why i said "sorry i didnt specify" (that there only easy to predict for me at home). is there something that you dont understand, did i make ur brain hurt?

anyway i didnt feel like starting another thread, but if anyone cares UB isn't winning tonight. can't bring myself to bet against my own school but fwiw i see kent state winning this easily. ub is trying all sorts of different things trying to get ready for the tourny, whereas kent state is in full stride. only way ub can win is if cage gets ridiculously hot. and even if he does the game will still be close.

good luck

farrow:

take a deep breath and calm down. your opinion is still valued. all falcon was saying was that in one post, you said buffalo was the easiest team to predict in the entire country .. and then your next post, you said you dont have a feel for them on the road. he's just adding some levity to the board. obviously, you know the bulls. but it was a bit funny to hear you emphatically state how easy it was to predict buffalo hoops ... and then a post later say you didnt have a feel for them away from UB. take it easy man.
