Why isn't Saudi Arabia on Trump's travel ban list?

That's where the terrorists have proven to come from.

The impoverished people seeking a better life that he's bullying haven't killed anyone in the US.

This appears to be a simple rhetorical question, my friend.

Any sensible person would be able to critically examine the flaws and the hypocrisy of these orders to conclude that the actions are unjust. But that's where we stand.

Peace! :)

Stupid. I am all for extreme vetting but the ban is morally wrong. Very disappointed.

I never thought you and I would agree on anything.

But.....Right on, bro. :hail

#FuckFaceVonClownstick is most definitely uniting individuals, as well as creating strange bedfellows. So there's that.

Peace! :)

Incapable of showing respect to candidate on the other team? Like I said recently, you and whn are sharper than hedge and skul, but all of you are dividers.

The shaky vetting process will be revised the next 3 months. No reason to overreact to this temporary stoppage.

When Obama backed a bipartisan bill this recent EO is borne from, The media, the social media activists and our group of hardcore leftists at MJs were quiet as can be

Well, just because it doesn't affect you directly doesn't mean that it is an overreaction. In fact, it's highly unAmerican. So perhaps you can explain it to these individuals how this is OK.

"One passenger stuck in the airport here is a Syrian green card holder who was denied boarding. Her family, her job, her whole life is in the US and when she asks us when we will allow her to go home, none of us know what to say. Unfortunately because she?s Syrian it?s difficult for her to get a visa for Dubai and it?s difficult for her to go elsewhere." - in Dubai

"I went through the whole process at the airport and was waiting at the gate when an employee from the airline, FlyDubai, called my name and told me I would not be able to board the flight. I asked why and was told to go and speak to the US consulate. I told them I am not leaving the airport because I paid for my ticket, and I am a displaced person so I don?t have the money to pay again.

We are under threat here in Irbil because of my husband?s work with the Americans. Rejecting us in this way is really shocking ? especially for those that helped the Americans. If one person worked with the Americans then the whole family is under threat [from extremists]." - in Iraq

"Everything including my career is now at risk. I have been sleepless for two nights. Sleepless and speechless. It doesn?t matter if you are a professor at one of the best universities of this country or a student or a migrant or a refugee. As long as you were born in Iran you are accused of being a terrorist and therefore you are banned from living a normal life.

You are banned from seeing your loved ones. You are banned from travelling. You are banned from being a human being." - UPenn

"Here [in the US], I have tried my best to not live as a victim and have been pretty lucky. I have achieved many things I wanted to do. I have had the iron-clad support of my family, made new friends and found love.

And yet, still I feel I have no home. It sucks to feel unwelcome, to feel undignified, to be a minority. I can?t help but to question why I?m still here. I want to tell myself that as long as I live here, which I don?t know how long will be, I will do my part to fight for justice." - Iranian researcher at Human Rights Watch

"I am Iranian-born anthropology PhD candidate studying in the US. I left New York on 22 January, two days after Trump was sworn in. I?m now in Dubai, waiting for my visa to enter Afghanistan to carry out research.

The language of the executive order is ambiguous, but it is likely to prevent me from returning to the country where I am a student, where I still have to defend my thesis. I cannot stay in Dubai for long or my UAE visa will expire. It?s not wise to go to Iran either. This is just one story among thousands." - in Dubai

There are thousands of these examples. Husbands and wives separated. Parents kept from their children. Do their lives not matter because the ban doesn't affect you directly and they live outside of your little bubble? What if you were prevented from seeing your family for three months, if not longer? Not that big a deal being separated from your little ones for no sensible reason? Really? How would you react?

Again,*I realize that this falls outside of your simple realm of liberals versus conservatives, but I don't ascribe to that dichotomy. I respond to and call out injustices regardless of political affiliation. Call it divisive if you will, but it is what it is.

And do you not realize the EXPLICIT difference between Obama's EO (which, although bullshit, only slowed down the processing of refugee applications) against Trump's order which also affected LEGAL US citizens? Facts are a helluva thing.

And MILO YIANNOPOLOUS as a resource?!! Talk about no credibility. lol

Peace! :)

Perhaps looking at facts would be more helpful.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...mparing-trumps-and-obamas-immigration-restri/

In 2011, there was a specific threat

First, Obama?s suspension was in direct response to a failed plot by Iraqi nationals living in Bowling Green, Ky., to send money, explosives and weapons to al-Qaida. The two men were arrested by the FBI in May 2011 for actions committed in Iraq and trying to assist overseas terrorist groups.

Both had entered the United States as refugees after lying about their past terrorism ties on paperwork. One man worked as a bombmaker in Iraq, and the FBI even matched his fingerprints to an unexploded IED discovered in 2005 in Iraq, raising questions about the thoroughness of the vetting process.
Trump?s ban, meanwhile, is more preemptive. As PolitiFact reported, no refugee or immigrant from any of the seven countries targeted by the ban has been implicated in any fatal terrorist attack in the United States, though perpetrators of at least three non-deadly cases were connected to Iran or Somalia.

Obama?s order was narrower in scope
Second, the scope of the two policies is slightly different. Obama?s 2011 order put a pause on refugee processing, whereas Trump?s halt in entries applies to all non-U.S. visitors.
It should also be noted that Iraqi refugees were still admitted to the United States every month in 2011, though there was a significant drop after May of that year.

Smurph asked why SA isn't on the list. Many have indicated SA and UAE arent on the list because Trump has business interests there. In reality, Trump's EO lists only the 7 "countries of concern" identified by US intelligence during O's tenure in the white house. While this decision seems like it will only help to spread anti-US sentiment worldwide, most of you didnt say a peep about O's restrictions vs these 7 countries simply because you vote blue

The Trump ban same as the Obama Admin Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015. Same countries. Different day same shit from the bias left media. Funny thing is Trump does not care. He will do what he thinks is best for the country. As I said I do not agree with the ban. It places undo hardship on some good people but it is part of Trumps plan. So it shall be.
