Ok, this is coming from a Packer fan, so it is biased a little (this game could be a blow out)...

1. Ryan Grant did not have a single pre-season carry - and is still nursing a hamstring injury. The Packers will be splitting carries between Grant and Brandon jackson (who is nothing special). Against the Vikings great run D, the Packers will not move the ball on the ground.

2. Packers passing game - Rodgers has looked ok in the pre-season. But this is the regular season. The game speeds up and defenses change - and Rodgers will see more pressure than he has before. I'm not convinced he'll hold up. Add to the fact that the Vikings have added Jared Allen (one of the best pass rushers in the NFL), and the Packers will struggle to move the ball, via land or by air.

3. The Packers interior rush defense is injured and struggling. I look for All Day to run for 150+ against the depleted defensive tackles.

4. The Packers just signed a new punter a few days ago. This possibly could lead to a miscue in the punting game - which almost always leds to points.

Hey, I'm as big a Packer fan as anyone, but I'm also a realist.

Vikings 28, Green Bay 17.

I'm a Wisconsin native who is not a Packer fan at all, and I couldn't disagree more. It seems like everyone back home has this idea that the Vikings are this great team. They were a lucky 8-8 last year. I just don't get all the love for Minnesota, esp. back in Wisconsin from people who hate the Vikings. Tavarias Jackson on the road? Without his best lineman? No thanks. GB wins this by double digits.

Green Bay is 1 dimensional in the favreless era, they will run left right and backward, Rodgers will have a couple of picks its going to be a long season. Tavarious Jackson can run, and presents some problems for green bay. Mcarthy was the wrong coaching hire, they could have had Peyton or a slew of better coaches, Green Bays's bad decisions are finally going to catch up with them. By bad decisions I mean every draft choice since Tony Mandarich, Amad Carrol, the list goes on and on.
