Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Now here is a stimulus package that makes sense...

if you took the 700 Bill and equally divided it amongst all the full-time working people between the ages of say 25-60 that make less than 100,000 a year, what would that do for the situation?

Sure would be better than throwing it to the fat-cats.

Hell, its our money anyhow....

No, give it to the rich. Those poor souls had to pay taxes. If we give it to them they will in turn create more jobs for us!

R u kidding me? Right here on this site you will have a major protest from some of these fools that would rather see the money going to people more wealthier then them. Imagine giving this money to people who actually need it? I guess they would spend it and it would cause massive employment from businesses who couldn't handle all the new business. Nah give it to the rich so they can just stack it away with the rest of their millions. Give it to the rich so we can have that trickle down effect that never happens.

Somewhere in Corn Country
got this in an e-mail from my Dad the other day...I say bring it on...:D

How the government can save $615 billion dollars.

I'm against the $700 BILLION bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85 billion to American's in
a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,0 00 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595 ,000 .00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage and the housing crisis is solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college so that it will be there
Save in a bank which creates money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car which will create jobs
Invest in the market capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance, also health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...inst ead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can never work.

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

REds every single Republican would vote against this and then say we need to earn our money just like most of them did thru inheritance or thievery.

Why in the hell would we give the money to the people? The money doesn't exist, you'd have to print it and further devalue everything you own. Nobody should be getting this money, not the people and not the banks. This whole bailout is absolutely absurd.

700 Billion divided by 21,913 Madjacksports members,

works out to around 32 Billion each,

deposit it to Mickey at BetCRIS,

get a 20% bonus w/ 3 X rollover........hit 50% of bets... live off the bonus.......your all set.

w/ all the so-called experts in the politics forum we could work out a plan somehow for the principle (like buying out google for example),,,,, no? :)

I guess I'm the dumbest fulk thats ever posted on this forum but for the life of me, I can't divide 700 BILLION by 21,913 and come up with 32 BILLION. Is this a new math or is this Reaganomics.
