First off,
Thanks to those who posted kind words here about last night. There are many here who have much more talent in bases than I do, but it's nice to get a big win after struggling early in the season. The important thing to remember is, that's just one day. I continue to educate myself and be amazed at some of the baseball experts here and see how well they are doing.
Speaking of which,
I have coattailed some plays on the board with much success. One play tonight stands out:
MINNESOTA vs. CHISOX
As others have pointed out, MINN looks to be the play in this game and is going off a great price. CHISOX have been in a miserable slump recently and with weak pitching tonight, they could have a hard time. What I don't understand though is that each time I coattail a play, most of the time the line moves $5-15 (on average) against me. So, instead of laying -130 on a game, often by the time I get to make the bet, the price is up to -140. However, on this game, I note the line had DROPPED on Minnesota from -133 to -122. That line movement occured in the lat hour. I fail to see any reason to play the White Six here or see anything that would justify such a line movement, especially when a few of out best baseball cappers here at this site have already touted the Twins.
Any thoughts as to why this line dropped. I bet $200 on Twins at -133 and then when I saw the line a second time (I went to Millenium to try and get a middle off the 8 in the Giants game, but noticed Bonds is out so that is not possible) the line had dropped to just -122, so I put down another bet.
I'm consdiering making yet another bet ont he Twins. Someone please talk me out of it.
