Why The OVER???

I know everyone gets bored and nervous betting the UNDER, but money is money and the UNDER has been cashing tickets for me. I just see a lot of people saying "OVER TONITE - HUGE!!" etc, but nobody has given me a good reason to believe tonite's game is gonna be any different from what we've seen thus far. I'm not saying I won't be on the OVER by first pitch, I very well may be. BUT, I would like some reasoning from someone please....

I have not seen any sign of offense from Florida thus far, and tonite they get to face the great and mighty ROCKET in perhaps his last appearance ever. Granted, he struggled & was yanked early in BOSTON in game 7 of ALCS and at the time it was thought that may have been his farewell, and not a good one. BUT, as HISTORY would have it, YANKS come back and win and now ROGER is in the WS again and pitching for another ring. I don't think he'll be anything like that game 7 appearance. First of all, he's not in FENWAY! That had to be some pressure in itself ending his career where it started. THEN, to be facing PEDRO in GAME 7, well, he knew he had to be perfect to win. SECONDLY, this isn't game 7. YANKS have the advantage up 2-1 and can win one of the next two here in FLA and head home to clinch. Florida lost their only chance to win this series last nite when they couldn't pull it out for their ace BECKETT. With him on the shelf until probably game 7, it's not looking good for the FISH.

Getting NY to score five runs in the end of last nite's game probably has led to some of this hype for the over and I'm not saying it didn't scare me. It did! :scared And yes, NY has now scored 6 runs in both of the last two games by hitting a few home runs. A good omen I might add. But we still need to see some offense from FLORIDA, or we are looking at another 6-1 or 5-2 win by NYY tonite. PAVANO is no BECKETT, and I doubt if he's able to hold the bats of NY down tonite. Most of them should be feeling pretty loosey goosey now that they pulled out last nite's game and may be reaching for the fences. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few leave the yard again tonight. So where does that leave us you ask??

I have watched FLORIDA come back time and time again every time you think they are done. They have done it so many times now that I think everyone is expecting that to happen again tonite. I'm not so sure, but I do think they get on the board tonite vs the ROCKET for at least 3 runs, maybe more. With RIVERA being used two innings last nite, it's doubtful he's used again tonite with another game on THURS. So, we could get a late run vs the NYY BP. With the YANKEE bats making some noise now, and a so so pitcher in PAVANO on the mound for the FISH, I can see this game going over the total tonite too. PAVANO has been pitching very well at home and as of late, but he is a .500 pitcher and FLA's 5th starter. NUFF said... YANKS will probably win this game, but I'm not touching the side tonite. If anything, I'd take FLA +1.5 again for -105. BUT I'm jumping on board with the rest of the crew and playing the game to go over TOO! :D

Thanks for listening, and hopefully posting your thoughts.

Thanks TJ...

Guess I just had to start typing/blabbing and it would come to me. Sometimes it helps to just use this as a sounding board. You can convince yourself of something you already know... We shall see...

Good luck yyz, see we're butting heads, but good luck as always!
