This is my biggest bet of the year. UNLV will win this game straight up tomorrow. Wisconsin DOES NOT like the pace UNLV will force in this game....a pace they are very comfortable with, but one Wisconsin struggles with. UNLV plays great team basketball. They will force a pace similar to the one Corpus Christy put on Wisconsin and the Badgers will struggle. They are lucky to still be here and if CC could hit free throws the way UNLV does, they would be back in Wisconsin watching on TV.
UNLV just beat GTech despite having their worst FG % in a game ALL SEASON. That will change vrs. Wisconsin without a doubt. The Rebels can score, play D, and hit the free buckets when it counts. They put the hammer down on Thaddeus Young, making him a non-factor. Tucker is a better shooter, but they will be able to lock him up much like the bigger, more athletic Thaddeus Young.
UNLV also takes care of the ball, and will need to capitalize on turnovers and points in transition. Coach Krugers son Kevin Kruger will also play like a new person on Sunday, as that performance vrs GTech was not himself. The Badgers will really be missing Butch in this game and Tucker will not get the scoring support from the rest of his team that he thrives on for the Badgers to win.
The Rebs love the high intensity and feed off the energy to keep the game at a fast pace and make few mental errors. Wendell White has sore ribs, but they should not be a problem and the Rebs will be going to the Sweet 16.
