this is a topic that seems to be popping up a lot, both on gambling forums and in the national media. memphis and the clips are in a weird spot, with denver perhaps an easier opponent. but i guess i just dont see dallas as all that tough an opponent in the first round either. every time i see the mavs play, they look very average (relative to the rest of the nba elite). in the modern-day nba, i dont think any team should 'fear' playing anybody else in the playoffs. i know there isnt as much parity in pro basketball as there is in, say, pro football. but the mavs have dirk and then two decent complementary players in terry, howard, and stackhouse. but they're hardly a juggernaut that needs to be avoided. but your point is valid nonetheless.

Dunleavy gonna pull the rest card and play Brand limited minutes.

Or maybe Brand will fake an injury.

Who knows? Dunleavy is a good coach and pulls out tricks.

He was an avid user of the Hack-A-Shaq by the way.

Dallas would be much more difficult for the Clippers

When you consider the fact LA has beaten the brains out of Denver this season......it would be stupid for them to even consider playing Dallas rather than Denver............looks like the Clips and Dunleavy figured the same thing out before the game, thus the halftime score of 67-51..........Dunleavy must have said "Hey Guy's lets let Seattle get 130 tonight just to be safe we dont want to go and screw this up" :mj07:

Looks like you were spot on Maverick......could the Clippers be anymore obvious? I suggest Memphis will be a big play on Tuesday as long as the spread is under 10.

The only problem with doing that is that Memphis may be trying to lose also............I really dont think a team goes into a game sying lets lose this but I sure believe they also know the situation and dont play hard once they fall behind.......
