Why would you pitch your closer three innings in game six when YOU are the team with the 3-2 lead. Especially when you are holding back your ace for game seven. The longer game six goes the better your advantage(unless you burn out your closer...duh)

This looks good if you win game six, but when you go on to lose............

with the excpetion being your hoping your team scores a run in one of those three innings to have your closer close out the series. I think Garner was expecting to lose, but after they tied it up he tried to win it in extra innings, we'll see if it cost him. Lidge was still throwing in the 90's so well see. Who knows maybe they won't need him.
