St Louis vs Atlanta

Last year, Atlanta squandered a 10-1/2-game wild-card lead and lost out to the Cardinals on the final day.
The Braves, swept a three-game series in St. Louis and took two of three at Turner Field. In their lone meeting with Lohse this season, the Braves tagged him for five runs and nine hits over five innings back on May 30.

Kris Medlen (10-1, 1.57, 120 Ks, 138 IP) - is 9-0 with a 0.97 ERA as a starter after the All-Star break. The Braves have won 23 straight games with Medlen as the starter going back to 2010. Atlanta is on winning streaks of 9-1 when laying money at home, 7-1 against winning teams and 13-0 with Medlen up at home.

Atlanta -170

Baltimore vs Texas

The Rangers won the season series, 5-2. The Rangers have won 10 of the last 12 meetings.
Texas scored at least 10 runs three times against the O's this season and the Orioles are mired in a 1-5 slide in Arlington.

Joe Saunders 3-7 with a 6.48 ERA in 11 career starts against Texas, including 0-6 with a 9.38 ERA in six previous starts at Rangers Ballpark.
Darvish, who is 4-0 with a 1.46 ERA in his last five starts, has limited opponents to a .139 average with a .180 slugging percentage during that span. The crafty right-hander has not allowed a home run over his last 43 innings.....and, Baltimore is the only American League team Darvish did not face in the regular season.

Texas -190

It all just makes too much sense.

Who in the hell would take St.Louis at just +160.

The freaking stanks were -320 vs. the Bosox in the last reg season game. I know Lohse is better than DiceK and Im not saying the chalk should be that high but this seeems quite low to me. Like a too good to be true low. Won every start since 2010? Almost unreal streak.

Go braves

Lohse was 16-3 with a sub 3 era too. Not too shabby. And the cards are always a public favorite. Line may be a bit short, but doesn't seem too out of whack. They are getting me to bite

No way they could put the line over 200 IMO. Medlen with no post-season experience as a starter. Lohse no slouch this year at 16-3. St Louis post-season reputation. The matchup isn't favored as much towards the Braves as everyone is making it out to be. I'll probably be on Atlanta, but I'm not as confident as I need to be to put that big of a bet on that kind of chalk

Also the Cards have quite a few long ball hitters. And Medlen's mistakes, although limited, have been in the HR department. 7 of the 9 ER he's given up since becoming a starter (sick stat I know) have been via long ball

I totally agree....hate to lay that much on ANY baseball game and if Lohse is on, we may be in the bullpens with the score 0-0 or 1-1. But I'll take my chances with Medlen, although small.
