It's all in print. A goal line fumble at a Kodak moment like that hasn't been forgotten yet.

As I stated in my first MJ post on 10/14/01: "I bleed the Green and Gold of the Packers, and that will never change. Lots of opinions on that topic, but only a handful of wagers during the last twenty years- it would be disrespectful." On the other hand, I very rarely pass on taking a side on a post season game in the NFL. That's just my nature when it comes to a lifetime of following the National Football League, and I wouldn't manage my wagers during the season in any way that would keep that from happening. But there is no money involved on any Greeen Bay games.

A depleted and banged up Packers team was in need of a bye for a spirited Super Bowl run, and that opportunity came with a week's notice when Tampa lost to Pittsburgh on Monday night. The Saturday loss by Philadelphia followed like the parting of the Red Sea. While only the Jets were truly facing the playoff finality of a season ending loss, taking a step back instead of stepping up in a monumental game was disheartening to witness. The Packers that I know will respond well at Lambeau and show their playoff mettle today, but even surviving that step leaves them wanting. Lastly, in the aftermath of the Packers vs. Rams game last season, Favre said it was his goal for this year to make people forget about last year. I still remember.

I expect Indianapolis to play like a live dog against the Jets, but I see too much steam from the Jets to go against them here. When it comes to having a season of charmed possibilities, I'll offer this one: If I remember correctly, heading into the season finale, the Packers had seen 13 starters miss a total of 59 starts this season, while the Jets had seen 3 starters miss a total of 3 starts. That's incredible if true.

Now it's on to the postseason, and with this matchup, I still believe that when it happens, the end of Cleveland's wild season should be dramatic.

The Giants at their best play an NFC East style of football that can go on the road and dictate play against an evenly matched foe. The 49ers have issues and I don't think Garcia is going to light up the Giants.
