I for one will never look at F.P. Santangelo the same way again.

On a serious note I think the list also shows that preformance enhancers are only effective for those that have game to begin with.

I always hear this statement and it is ridiculous. Obviously any and all players that make it to the major leagues have GAME. with steroids & hormones their 300 ft. outs are now 380 ft. homers. Their fastball is now 4-5mph faster. Also they rebound quicker, heal faster and are able to perform better.

Most guys in D-1 ball have game, too, but not the GAME that the elite have. And when the elite cheat, there is hardly any option but to cheat as well.

Sucks for the whole sports world.

Let me clarify what I was saying as I agree it would help people, but it does not turn water to wine, it only enhances the talent already present. If it was a miricale worker then all these people listed would have HOF #'s. It is an unfair advantage and should not be tolerated, but please save the miracle worker nonsense!

as above stated, all major league players have talent. As Ted Williams said "hitting a round ball with a round bat at 100 mph, is the single hardest accomplishment in sports".

But clearly using enhancements did influence performance in some players radically. Sammy Sosa gained about 60 pounds of muscle, same with bonds. Sosa earlier in his career with Texas & Chicago couldn't hit 25 homers a season, never mind 70. Brady Anderson couldn't hit 20, then he hits 50. Brian Roberts, same deal. Clearly for some players, it made a gigantic difference.

Way off. I think scientists found it is more like 6-12 extra feet... at most. But, that is definitely enough to turn many outs/doubles into home runs.

my comment was made as a generalization, but if you want to be specific. I was at the all*game at Fenway Park. Maguire hit something like 25 St. homers, some with distance that had never before been witnessed at Fenway in its 100 year history. Further, bonds routinely hit balls in the Bay at San Francisco. No way pre steroids could he possibly hit balls that distance. And that's more than 8 feet.
