Me too. I have to give some thought to putting $$ on Oak ML for the 2H, but really hate to do it.

These guys look like the San DI-EGO....SUPERCHOKERS:shrug:

Tulah,

You are adding to my self-justification of taking SD team total o 14 for 2H. I can't see them losing this, but Marty needs to get in that arse.

SD is the most over rated team in the NFL. They play well when they need to. IMO, they are a playoff team but will be a non factor in the AFC when all is said and done. I predict a first round playoff loss for them.

IMO, all of those touches to LT is going to be the death of this team. Rivers seems to be forgetting about a very important cog to the SD team....ANTONIO GATES. Gates needs to get the ball much much more. He has to be hating life without Brees right about now.

Hopefully we are about to see better play by the Chargers for 2H.

i said earlier in the season that they`d miss brees...and as the season played out,it looked like i was way off....

well, maybe the fat lady hasn`t sung on that issue as of yet....`cause rivers looks like dooty today....

GW,

I think they are missing Brees right now and in previous games. I like Rivers a lot, but at this point, Brees is a much better QB and, IMO in a game like the one today, would have the Chargers up by 10 right now.

We will now see what SD is made of. Down 13-7 halfway into the 3Q. And to think they are at home:scared . This will be interesting to say the least. Never even saw this coming today.

This is what we need to see out of Marty: :director: moon1

So Cal
Is it fair to campare the two QB's this early in Rivers career? Brees is a top notch QB.
Give Rivers a few more years with this talented Off.(mostly L.T)...He will be a stud.

Tulah,

I cannot disagree with you. I like Rivers very much, and in time he will be very good, but I don't see why has hasn't utilized Gates as much as his predecessor. Any time you have to hang your hopes on one player to win a big game, you are asking for trouble (Michael Jordan and the Bulls excluded). SD needs others besides Tomlinson to step up on days when LT cant do anything, and today we don't see that happening.

BTW, Gates has 62 yards. Finding him in the 2H and they move the ball. That's what I'm talking about.

And how about this for irony?

Brees leaves SD for NO and runs a great offense. Aaron Brooks, who was let go by NO for sucking azz, goes to Oakland to play for a less than subpar team and possibly beats the team that the man who replaced him wasn't good enough for?:142smilie

that isn`t helping them today...right now...this season, brees is the much better player....the guy knew the system....and it worked with him there...

and he`s not exactly an old, used up item himself....

they`re taking a chance on rivers...he`s still not proven...

brees is in no small part, rersponsible for new orleans resurgence....

he`s putting up amazing numbers....

i wish he was in this fricking game...

this is like puppet theater...only stupider...lol

now i really appreciate the ravens getting mcnair....

looks like...at least at this point in his career, rivers is out of his depth if ladainian isn`t running hot....

who`da thunk it... bet there aren`t to many raider moneyline bettors out there....

this one will hurt a bit...

Nevermind. Oakland charged a timeout is good enough for me and I see the play stands.
